A couple weeks ago I saw on the UCD Foodtruck website that Pollo Inferno was supposed to campus. I looked into it and it looked delicious, and I was so excited to try. Unfortunately, they didn't end up showing up that day.Fast forward to earlier this week when they came to the UC Davis Silo! I ordered the Chicken Lomo and it was delicious. Surprisingly, I actually think the fries were the best part. They had a number of sauces on the table out front and while I was annoyed that they weren't labeled, I decided to try the white sauce. It tasted amazing on my chicken, rice, and fries! I hope they come to campus again because this may be my new favorite foodtruck. More...

Pollo Inferno was on-site where I work this past Wednesday and out of the 5 trucks there, I'm glad I chose this truck! The food was delicious! Â I got the loaded fries with chicken and it was great. I was indecisive of what I wanted because everything looked so good and even changed my order midway through and they were so great. I received great customer service. Pollo Inferno came to my workplace and I ordered the steak box for lunch. Food was amazing! Cooked to perfection! Food is cooked fresh, so the wait will be worth it. Staff were friendly and welcoming!

Super impressed with this food truck! I was going to go for the steak box but last minute changed my order to the quarter chicken box since with a name like Pollo Inferno the chicken has to be good. It did not disappoint! Great flavor to the chicken. Cooked perfectly and so moist. The side salad was not basic by any means and the bed of fries was plentiful. This food truck staff and food impressed me and my coworkers SO much when they came by my work a week ago. Â Yeah, we're all still thinking about it, even a week later! Â Their staff was friendly, professional and efficient. Â The food was hot and DELICIOUS!! Â Had the steak lomo and could not believe how good it was. Â Oh, and the PRICE was decent as well. Â Everyone could not believe how fast the food came out. Â Honestly, we've had food trucks coming to work every Friday for a few months out of the year for a couple of years now and this one warranted the only Yelp review I've taken the time to give. Chef Erfan KNOWS what he's doing. Steak, shrimp and chicken seasoned and "cooked to perfection" - just like it says on the menu! The sauces are where it's at! Pollo Inferno offers a selection of sauces that are available on a table outside the truck, you can help yourself. The aioli is my fave - but to be honest the food is good as-is too! New Food Truck to try out! Â The two smoke stacks on the top of the truck filled the streets with BBQ aroma and tantalized hungry eaters. Â Pollo Inferno specializes in Peruvian style marinated chicken over a wood charcoal grill. Â They also serve beef and shrimp.I ordered their main specialty - Chicken Lomo (stir fry bowl). Â It had stir fried marinated chicken with green onions & cherry, over a bed of fries, lightly fried white rice, and gourmet salad. Â Make sure to order a soda, goes well with the BBQ.I was impressed by the number of staff in the truck, usually there are only two people and receiving my meal would take longer - but not Pollo Inferno. Â I received my dish within 5 minutes after ordering from the friendly cashier.The French fries were thick with a soft crunch and the fresh off the grill warm sliced chicken was tender and I tasted the Wood BBQ with Every single Bite.
