I joined playyourcourt to make contacts for fun tennis games. Thought it was like a meetup. They showed over 200 subscribers in my area. After I joined I was shown 7 members interested in playing. 3 responded to my emails initially but then never arranged a time to play. I kept thinking I would get something but after two months I cancelled my membership. Then I found out I couldn't get a refund after 30 days. The company will arrange tennis lessons in a heart beat or try to sell you something else but the membership is a complete waste of money. More...

PlayYourCourt made a series of unprofessional mistakes with my tennis lesson package. I bought a package of lessons on sale, but the receipt had no description of what I had bought or a record of the discount received, only a dollar value. When I had to switch to a new coach, they switched me to a more expensive coach without informing me in advance, thus the number of lessons I had signed up for were reduced. Worse, they overcharged me upon the coach switch and only adjusted it when I pointed it out. Drake is an excellent coach with an amazing understanding of the game and proper form. He's got extensive training and experience and is super friendly. Some trainers will spend lots of time coaching and instructing as opposed to hitting some more balls. "Dadier is excellent. He gave our kids (9 & 7) and us a couple of lessons each. He was very accommodating with when we wanted the lessons, he was punctual and he gave us more than his allocated time ( i. e. he's not a clock watcher). I would describe Dadier as a very good technical coach, he focuses on absolutely everything and gives a thorough explanation as to why you should do things a certain way - so we have not only gained a better understanding of how to play our shots (and why the ball does not go where we expect it to) our overall game has improved a lot within a couple of lessons. Miles is an amazing coach. Encouraging, supportive and easy to talk with, he took my mediocre tennis skills that had been dormant for over 20 years and gave me the confidence to enjoy the game again. I've used Playyourcourt in both Boston and now the Albany NY area. The concept is really great and I've never had a disappointing experience. Even a minor tech glitch was corrected immediately and professionally. The coach I used provided lessons for both me and my wife and was simply amazing. The one opportunity for growth I see is to simply expand in size. The challenge leagues are great, but it seems like small sizes and not many instructors outside of the major urban areas.
