I had heard rave reviews about this place and finally made the journey from Worcester to Providence to enjoy an entirely plant-based menu for my birthday - and I was blown away. Seriously, one of the best all-around dining experiences I've had in a while. It can be a bit overwhelming with so many choices trying to decide which restaurant to sit at and which of the multiple appealing menus you want to go for - but hey, if that's the only problem, it's a damn good one! The staff were helpful and welcoming, but our server... maybe the best I've ever had! Michael at Double Zero - your hospitality and service went above and beyond, you brought a smile to my face throughout our meal, and it made the experience that much better - thank you! We chose Double Zero on the second floor and sat by the window with warm sunlight, which was lovely on a cool winter day. I had a latte with oat milk to start, then we shared the chopped salad and the Buffalo chicken pizza between the two of us. The salad was so fresh and a hearty serving (perfect to share for a few) - delicious!  I've never really been a big Buffalo sauce fan, but when two staff members recommended the buff pizza I knew I had to give it a shot, and it was the best decision. The buffalo was not too spicy or overwhelming - it gave the right amount of flavor, and the "chicken".... the most perfectly-cooked tofu I think I've ever had! Granted, I'm still new to plant-based eating, and I think tofu can be pretty unappetizing if not cooked well, but man... this tofu was cooked to perfection with a crispy exterior and good flavor. If I could've tried everything under this roof I would've... I guess I'll have to make that a reality! 5-stars all the way, any day!! I will definitely be back, ASAP I hope!! More...

Such a cool-ass place! If you eat plant-based, you're used to tiptoeing through menus looking for hidden animal products and finding your 1 or 2 options on a menu at dinner, AFTER begging the server to modify the entree. It's so nice to be able to walk through someplace and know that everything you see is plant based; so many options!Pro-tip at the Coffee Bar: Matcha Latte with pistachio milk. You're welcome. My first experience at a Vegan restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised! Buffalo pizza was delish and so was the mac & cheese! Coming from a lactose intolerant, I'm so used to these dishes making me feel bloated and overly full. I also thought both dishes wouldn't taste that great as it was mimicking dairy and wouldn't taste at all like Buffalo pizza or Mac & cheese... I was wrong. They were both great! The cute outdoor dining area was great to enjoy the warmer weather as well. I also loved the iced coffee w/maple and cashew milk w/a shot of espresso. Perfect blend of sweet and strong for this coffee connoisseur! I also had some type of grapefruit or red looking juice, loved that! It was light and summery. My only critique is having a bigger menu for more selection and also the kale salad needed something more to it. It was too plain. More...

I had a scrumptious oatmeal bowl with a pistachio milk latte with their homemade vanilla syrup. Everyone was very welcoming, patient with our questions, and the service was amazing. Highly recommend, you don't have to be vegan to enjoy what they have to offer, plus the environment and atmosphere is very chic and cozy with beautiful views of historic downtown and the providence river! Plant City is a good vegan restaurant in downtown Providence. What can I say? They're  healthy and have high quality ingredients, but I don't find any of their products to be craveworthy. I do have to note that my palate is more geared towards South East Asian food, so that may be part of the reason why I'm blah about it. My favorite option out of the meal I had was definitely the Fajita Bowl. It has all your Macros with mainly protein, but it does have some fat with their vegan cheese. I do have to say that they do an excellent job in making their vegan cheese more comparable to the dairy alternative. Staff are pleasant, it's in a great location with a lot of street parking. I'd recommend for anyone who is Vegan or those of us that like to balance out all of the junk food with the occasional vegetables :-)My Order:Fajita BowlVeggie BurgerChopped SaladMushroom QuesadillaTortilla Chips-ODLFollow my IG: @AOEAT More...

Their pizza is one of the best I've ever had. The crust is perfection. Also, their eggplant is the best outside of Italy. Haven't tried the Mexican (yet) but we've eaten all all the "restaurants" inside the restaurant and we have loved everything. Service can be tricky right now with all the staffing shortages but somehow they've made it work. All of the staff is friendly, accommodating and so passionate about the food they are serving. I was told by a friend we would be ordering to go, from Plant City and to look at the menu.  I must admit, the website was little tricky to navigate, but with help I figured it out.  Not knowing what to order I checked reviews. The multiple bad reviews left me underwhelmed, but since I had to order something I did.  Like I said, the menu is a lot to maneuver so while scrolling trying to see exactly what my options where I saw a picture of EGGPLANT PARMIGIANA. I flippantly said, I take that and didn't think much of it.  My expectations where already low from the bad reviews.  But I'm here to say...I must have ordered the best thing on the menu because I don't know what them other people are talking about...IT WAS DELICIOUS.  I wish I had some more right now.  First of all it was enough for 2 people or in my case, two days. I came home made a salad an ate 1/2 of it yesterday. Woke up today, made another salad and ate the other 1/2 and it was amazing both times.  Before I leave Boston, I hope to get a chance to do it again.  Yummy. Ps. The smoothie (blue monkey) was whatever...but the main dish was everything! More...

We went back and tried the restaurant again hoping it would be better this time around. Meaghan our server was very sweet but we felt like she was overwhelmed with the tables she had on the patio. Our first set of old fashioned drinks were good, second one was missing the simple syrup and the bitters. I tried to get her attention but she was hard to grab and sometimes we wouldn't see her for a bit. I also asked for our waters to be filled and she never came back. A runner brought out our sandwiches and they were just meh. No real flavor but both chicken sandwiches had great crunch just really bland. I ordered a snickers cheese cake to go because service is pretty slow but I'm guessing that's due to all the staffing shortages so it can't be helped right now. If I was there eating the cheesecake I would've returned it, it was pretty bad.  Really sad this visit wasn't any better. More...

Plant city has changed a lot in the past year. I used to love it but every time I order from there the food is more and more bland or not cooked well. I recently ordered a smoothie that I always get from there and it tasted like pure water and it was frozen solid in the middle as if they had freezer it and reused it for my order. This is the second time this week I ordered and wasted my food. Very disappointing. I also ordered make out bowls twice in the past week and it took over 30 minutes for someone to come outside with my food and the bowls were just not good. The chickpea ragú was very bland and tasted like someone slapped tomato sauce on it and the vegetables were not cooked well. I recently revisited Plant City and gave it another chance. First off, sitting outside on a beautiful day definitely takes the cake. It will immediately make your visit even better! The menu outside is for New Burger, which is different from the area where I dined on my last visit. It features burgers, non-burgers (like other sandwiches and salads) and some pizzas. I opted for the truffle burger and liked it overall. The homemade veggie burger patty was yummy (a bit messy but that's expected) and the truffle sauce and mushrooms on top rounded the whole thing out quite well. The mixed greens served on the side were a little sad to be honest. They were barely dressed and not very seasoned. A few of the greens were a bit past their optimal freshness too.The side of sweet potato fries (at an extra cost) was very good! Crispy, sweet, and salty. Our server was very friendly and overall the experience and ambiance was good.Since last time, Plant City has redeemed itself a bit. I definitely had a better meal overall, but I still think there could be room for improvement in seasoning some of the food. More...

I'm vegan and gluten free, I live in NY but was visiting friends in Boston for the weekend, and I thought I'd take a pit stop in Providence to grab a coffee when I found this place. From the staff being just as excited as I was to be there, to the coffee and food being delicious, to the aesthetic of all aspects of this place being clean and beautiful; I was thoroughly impressed. I got an iced latte and a coffee cake. I wish I could have tried the gf/v tacos, burger, pizza, salads, wraps, acai bowls, smoothies, cocktails, etc. They have a mini market with a freezer section in there as well, full of hard to find specialty vegan items. I was overwhelmed - in a good way. They cater to pretty much all allergies, offer the nutritional breakdown for everything, and truly have something for everyone. I'll definitely come back the next time I drive north! I also hope it's the first of a few locations; it's a fantastic idea. I'm sure a food hall like this would be packed and do amazingly well in numerous cities. Party of four for brunch last Saturday, ate outside at the Burger place - not even sure what the official name of this branch of Plant City is because signage was lacking and layout was somewhat confusing between indoor and outdoor options. Was very much looking forward to finally trying this place after having a great experience at Double Zero in Boston/Cambridge. Unfortunately, was completely disappointed by the service and quality of food.Service - our server was professional and tried to be attentive, but had to apologize on multiple occasions for the new POS system and it not working. This seems to be of an issue with management than wait staff. However, our server forgot to provide us with a complete complement of utensils, and didn't bring straws for iced coffees, and had to be reminded for condiments. This resulted in multiple delays.Cleanliness - when we were seated, there were already glasses set up. Two of the four glasses were dirty, not smudges, but full-blown crusted with dishwasher debris. Not a great way to start a meal.General setup - tables outside were so close together that people constantly brushed up against us throughout the meal because aisles were too narrow. This was very disruptive. Our seating consisted of two small tables pushed together. The ground is uneven, so the tables were uneven. No effort to level things out; almost lost iced coffee and 2 beers to the tilt. Most disappointing was the food. "Chicken-tofu and waffles" arrived cold and without 2 of the 5 components. The tofu tasted like nothing, absolutely no flavor and heavy batter. The waffle must be all or part rice flour and was so dense it was like eating a high density foam sponge. This dish bore zero resemblance to the original chicken and waffles phenomenon. It looked really sad, and was prepared without any care.BBQ burger was good, but nothing special. Mac and cheese was also underwhelming. Side of sweet potato and regular fries were poorly executed - not crispy, lukewarm, and missing condiments! Serving size of fries was very small. This place really did nothing to celebrate all the great vegan food available to us today. The menu is uninspired, the food was not executed properly, the management needs to better train and support wait staff, and seating setup needs to be improved. Most critically, from all perspectives of service, this place needs to pay attention to details.I wanted to like this place And concept, and what it has to offer, but it doesn't celebrate vegan food or the dining experience. When I got it, I took one bite and out spilled a trove of grilled white button mushrooms.   This review is for the consumer that is getting conned and doesn't know it. Too many hip places these days are advertising "wild mushroom" dishes and making a tidy profit from it.  The restaurant knows full well what they're serving- no excuse for this false advertising.I took my whole sandwich home and slam dunked it into my compost bin for the grubs to eat. Please don't offer me coupons to come back, just mail me a $10 bill and take the "wild" off your menu, so it reads "mushroom sandwich"Don't get me wrong, coffee was 5 star, chocolate croissant was delicious, cool vibe.  Just don't have time for the wild mushroom deception, so I give it a 1 star.MattNorth Kingstown RI More...

This place is absolutely beautiful. Honestly, I would pay just for the honor of sitting here and watching the sun set over the pedestrian bridge. It's right off the Providence River and filled to the brim with twinkle lights, bamboo armchairs and TONS OF PLANTS! Such a great aesthetic. As the name foreshadows, everything in this restaurant is vegan. Now, I'm not vegan. I love my meat. But let me tell you that this vegan food was BETTER than meat. We got the classic burger with sweet potato fries and two ciders. Everything was so good. The burger was literally made out of an heirloom tomato and I have no idea how they made it so juicy. Fries were served with a sweet chili sauce (rather than ketchup) which I found to be a neat twist. Also, this place truly is a city. There are basically three restaurants in one, as the indoor is part marketplace, part cafe, part bakery, part bar. They even have a community event space at the lower level.
