Â There are no waiters, just food runners. They were all nice but looked super unorganized which made the place seem better off as a carry out instead of a place you can comfortably dine-in.Price (decent) - The prices here would be average to other gyro's in Northern Virginia. Service (good) - It's difficult to rate the place on service if there are no waiters or waitresses but the cashier was nice and answered my questions about the menu. My order came out promptly and correct so I really didn't have much issues here.Food (good) - Gyros great in quality and quantity! The Chicago tasted good but meat was crispier than I would like. The fries were a big NO! They came in mini frying basket to look cute but the portion was too small for price (combo includes fountain drink and that small fries were more than $4). You can imagine that the fries were like "skinny boardwalk fries". I was torn between rating this place at four or five stars. The sell themselves a fast greek food, and at that they do very well. The staff was great, and very friendly. The food a bit limited, but hits the most popular greek foods. At least to a someone that wasn't raise in Greece or in a greek household. I will very likely eat here again. I don't normally eat fries, but they are pretty good here. The reason I went with four stars is price and selection. I am sure the selection helps keep them fast. Also should help to keep it easier to run and limit costs. Unfortunately, coming in at night in a dinner type setting I would have preferred a larger selection. Especially in the sides. My tennis team stopped by here after a match for a late dinner. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I shared the platter of dips and pita. The red pepper and feta and eggplant were my favorites. The hummus was kind of watery and bland. I also got a rice bowl with gyro meat feta tomatoes and onions. At first there was like one onion but I showed them and they added some more. Tried the rose wine they had which was ok. Nothing to write home about. But I really enjoyed the bowl and it was huge. We come here often, usually for the grilled chicken. It always hits the spot. I always get the quarter chicken (dark meat) with half salad, half roasted potatoes. The chicken is always crispy on the outside and deliciously moist on the inside, and the potatoes are...just wow. Hands down one of the best gyro I've ever had. This is my go to place for lunch in Vienna. Get here before the 12 lunch crowd to score a seat. It gets packed! There's a bit of everything for every taste. I love the salads with gyro. When I'm in the mood for a bit of indulgence, their bowls are AMAZING. Really good gyros at a reasonable price. The photos don't do the gyros justice but they tasted amazing. We  ordered the Plaka gyro, which is pork and comes with fries in it. I was not expecting good things from this place. But it was one late might, and I was REALLY craving a good gyro, so I decided to give Plaka a chance. That turned out to be one of the BEST choices I have ever made in the culinary world. I got it via Uber Eats. My gyro arrived piping hot. The naan bread was soft, but a bit small. The pork inside was very juicy and tender and was bursting with flavor. It was just a little bit greasy though. The onions were very unique. Unlike most, it was sweet instead of sour, and went well with the pork. The Tzatziki was creamy, and was very tasty. The fries were great! I ended up stuffing them in my Gyro, and it gave my wrap the mealy sort of texture that  really made it legendary. I don' t even know if I would find a better, maybe equal Gyro in Greece. We recently moved to Falls church and were looking for some new local spots to try out. Plaka Grill replaced the Noodles and Co which used to be in this spot so I was interested to try their gyros. I ordered everything to go so I could bring them home. My husband and I both went with the Chicago special which is a combination of the lamb and beef meat. We did one combo so we could share the fries since the gyros themselves looked pretty big. We both really enjoyed the gyros and the fries had a nice seasoning so they were delicious as well. Sometimes gyros can be too dry so we were happy that this was not the case here. It's priced as a quick serve/takeout space so definitely a good price point. Plaka Grill has the charcoal grill taste on their meat. It is possibly the best gyro and alike you will find in the DMV area, at both locations. Great value, herb seasoned fries that come in metal fryer baskets. The "Plaka style" means more fries in the wraps, but when I tried I couldn't really keep them in. Have tried several things on the menu, including the Chicago style gyro, souvlaki, bifteki, and all were delicious and filling. The ambiance is somewhere between a fancier fast food parlor and a cafe. It is great that they have a liquor license, too. Mention the Yelp discount and make sure to check in. They also have a loyalty program so each swipe gets you points (not sure how it works yet.) Once you try, it is easy to become a regular and sometimes we go out of our way to Plaka! More...

I've eaten here a couple of times and both have been to go. There has never been a line and it does not take long to get the food. Place is pretty clean and the selection is good. You can make several changes to anything you're ordering which is good because they cater to your likes and wants. I have tried the Plaka salad with beef souvlaki as well as the build a bowl. I ordered one in person and other over the phone. Both times the cashier was courteous and my food fulfilled me for the rest of the day. Both times, I ordered between 1 and 2 pm and the wait was not long. The salad was very good and I was able to substitute the olives for more tomatoes. The bowl was very good too with the rice and meat being juicy and moist. The tomato medley was not bad but next time I plan on trying the pepper medley. Mmmmmm... Mediterranean food is so good, but even better here. I don't know how authentic it is, but through every Mediterranean food I've tried so far, this place is by far my favorite. It's cheap and so good for the price. It is in a tiny area so parking isn't great (but Vienna also doesn't have really great parking), but so so worth. Everyone knows good food when you eat it. This is good food.  It takes a little bit for then to make it but that just means that they are making it fresh  Pro tips - the zucchini fritters have changed. They used to be long and delicious but now they are like munchkins that have been flattened out - the extra $1 to make your sandwich plaka style is not worth it. While discussing lunch options with my son a couple of months ago, a gentleman that was in the elevator with us offered up a recommendation-- Plaka Grill. Since then, I have been here at least 6 times. The food is absolutely stellar, and I make the 20 minute drive whenever I can to grab a Plaka salad with Plaka gyro meat, as well as their delicious hummus and beef skewers. Years ago, I indulged in a 2.50 euro street gyro walking down a buzzing street in Athens after a 8-day trip that dragged me around the Peloponnesian peninsula. The perfectly hot and greasy lamb and beef sang alongside the cool tzatziki, the crisp tomato cooled and sweetened alongside the french fries shoved into the pita. It was a 60-degree day, and that gyro was both wonderfully warming and filling. Pretty comfortable eating environment. Food was good and got to our table pretty fast. The only complaint I have is the design of the tables. Love this go to Falls Church city. Â My hb and I used to wait patiently in long line at Plaka grill in Vienna where the food was excellent and reasonably priced. Â Finally, kinks in the Falls Church location have evened out with much more consistency in food flavors and service. Â The lamb dish I had was moist, tender and tasty. Â I was able to change the pasta that normally comes with the lamb chefs dinner to the delicious flat beans (as side dish) that I do recommend.Wines are primarily Greek and quite good these days. Gyros aren't hard to come by, but a good gyro is. Plaka Grill serves up a great Gyro - so stuffed with meat that I actually had to take some off it just to eat it. Tzatziki on it was delicious and the the veggies were crisp and fresh. My husband has the Pork and fries Gyro, an interesting take but he liked. Quick hint though - just order a side of fries and don't pay the upcharge to add fries to a Gyro. You could easily put some on yourself and save $. Speaking of fries, they were a little lacking on seasoning, but the substance was good. We also tried the baklava, a fav dessert of mine, and it was different. I don't know much about Greek baking but it had a strong ginger taste to it I haven't had before with baklava. Would not get again. Will definitely be back for a quick Gyro bite! I love this place. They have excellent, quick service and amazing food. I always get a Plaka salad with Chicago meat. It is a very satisfying and filling salad, a bit on the pricy side, but worth it. The meat is tasty and tender and the salad is always fresh and light with those classic Mediterranean flavors and lemon olive oil dressing. We came here after jumping Joeys for dinner. Parking is available behind the restaurant. There is indoor and outdoor seating and they have beers for $2 and bottles of wine for $8. My girls got the Plaka style gyros and really enjoyed it. I did a shrimp souvlaki bowl and while it was really flavorful, I thought it was overpriced for the quantity of food. My husband and I finally made it out to Plaka Grill! We visited on a Tuesday evening and confirmed that the happy hour specials only include beer and select wines, there is not a deal on appetizers FYI. For the main course, I ordered the Beef Souvlaki wrap. It was good but I wouldn't order it again. The beef pieces were just a little too big and difficult to eat. The wrap also included a surprise olive, which was not welcome. If you dislike olives as much as I do, it's a good idea to mention that when ordering.My husband ordered correctly and enjoyed the Plaka Gyro. The pork pieces were thin and easy to eat even though the wrap was overflowing (in a good way)!We also ordered a side of fries and they were excellent!
