I am a pizza snob! Yes that's correct. I know the science and the art. When I first met Mike I thought it was just a hobby but when I ate it, that changed everything. When you're young and working on a craft you can make things as they were meant to be. This is it. Mike makes everything at home, sauce, dough, basil, the works. To get this right you need a very good sauce with low acidity and crust with the right salt and humidity.I must comment on the sauce because it's made at home from home grown tomatoes. Best I have had. All I can say is that it must be tried.I have tried all the pizzas on the pop up menu and I will say they are the best in each category. I tried these pizzas for the first time at Broken Bow Brewery! Nicest/best customer experience from Michael and his team. They were all wearing masks and gloves, which we greatly appreciated during COVID . I look forward to following their friendly faces around their Westchester pop ups and trying all of their pizzas! We had their Margherita (x2) and Bianca and they were delicious and the ingredients tasted fresh.I need to try their vodka sauce pizza. Mike has a special talent when it comes making Neapolitan-inspired pizza. He provides wonderful customer service, and is a very friendly guy with a true passion and love for making pizza. He uses high quality ingredients and makes great dough thats thin, light, airy and easily digestible. It's never a bad idea to skip out on some of the pricy Neapolitan pizzerias in the area to try Mikes reasonably priced high quality pies. Try the truffle shuffle and Roni cup pie. But its IMPERATIVE that you save room for dessert, because his Nutella pie with powdered sugar is off the charts delicious! More...

I am a big fan of Neopolitan style pizza and Mike is at the top of my list when I'm craving pizza. I don't know how he does it but his homemade dough is light and airy and tastes delicious. Even heated up the next day his pizzas taste like they were just made. Absolutely delicious and you don't want to miss him if you get the opportunity. He does pop-up events and private parties which are a huge hit. He offers a variety of pizza toppings and uses the freshest ingredients which are all great but my all time favorite is a simple Margherita. On top of it all Mike has a true passion for perfecting his pizza and it is refreshing and inspiring to watch. Keep going Mike. Those of who know you love you. The best is yet to come. More...

Leaving home in New York to serve in the Army was tough, but leaving NY and this Pizza was almost devastating. Pizza da Michelino represents the Italian American experience in NY where he combines classic ingredients such as fresh mozzarella and basil with an entreprenuerial twist like his hot honey cup pepperoni pies! Just writing this makes me miss the variety of fresh and mouthwatering flavors that Michael Alfano whips up at his events. When you go to a Pizza Da Michelino event it is more than just the food, it is an opportunity to join the Pizza Da Michelino family! Someevents occur with multiple partnerships with local breweries and restaurants that pair perfectly with the family and friends that come to join the atmosphere. The vibes are always welcoming and comfortable, but the pizza is unique and addicting making this the ultimate way to spend some time with friends/family or have a rare experience that will have you coming back to revisit the euphoria that only this homemade napoletana style pizza could bring to your taste buds. Luckily, Pizza Da Michelino does private events in the tri-state area, and I am looking forward to booking him as soon as I get back to NY! More...

Easily the BEST pizza I have ever had. Not only that but Mike is passionate about what he does. The first time I tried his pizza, he took the time explain the style of pizza and each ingredient included. To me, it is not just about the food itself but, the people who make it. The dough is this almost pastry like feel, light, airy and isn't a greasy pizza that will leave you feeling heavy after. The toppings are always fresh, high quality and dispersed beautifully across the dough. THE CRUST, may be my favorite part. It's crisp but still has that doughy texture, literally leaving you the perfect bite. I could go on for days, but if you have the chance, you need to try it yourself. I hope Mike opens up his own front one day but until then, i'll be scoring this pizza every chance I get. More...
