My husband and I ordered carryout from here for the first time tonight. I want to start off by saying we had a rather large order and the lady taking the order (possibly the owner) was extremely nice and patient. I feel the need to mention this because I can’t explain how many times I’ve ordered carryout from somewhere, and the person on the other end acts like I’m bothering them by giving them business. The food was amazing!! My husband ordered the jerk chicken wrap and chicken gumbo soup, I ordered the jerk salmon salad and seafood and corn chowder soup. We had several other items, but everything delish! The jerk salmon wrap was seasoned extremely well and did not fall apart. I’m not typically a big wrap person, but I officially am now! I kept driving past this place and finally got around to visiting. I got a cup of the shrimp corn chowder and a Green Island smoothie. My first thought was that they are kinda of pricey for what they offer. The order above cost me around $10.50. My second thought was that the food was pretty tasty. Smoothie was fresh tasting and the right amount of sweet and tart (made from pineapple, mango, kale, and flaxseed). The chowder was a little sweet for my taste but still good. I have been twice in the past two days and am impressed so far! First, the menu selections set this place apart from others in the area. Fresh options including seafood and veggies. I tried their green island smoothie yesterday (pineapple and kale) and it was very good. Today I had the jerk salmon wrap along with the shrimp & corn chowder. Both were made fresh and had a lot of flavor. Finally, the service on both visits was attentive and polite. I'm hoping this place gets community support as it is providing alternative food options that have been lacking in the south burbs. I plan to continue going and recommend others do the same! More...

Yummy local panini shop. Food was good, smoothie was fresh and the price was worth it. Service was a bit slow but mainly because the restaurant was empty and there was no sense of urgency for 1 customer. Will visit again!
