We arrived by boat on an overcast Sun afternoon - Browns were playing but we found a seat where we could see the TVs. Not many draft beers to choose from as they've ended the summer selection but not yet added any fall beers. The server was friendly, suggested the game time special which was a tower of apps and we selected that. Chips and queso, wings, 4 tacos. Everything was fine but not amazing. Had an excellent  dinner last night, food was very good, service great.  Valet parked our car, they were gone when we left and had to find it in the parking lot with my drivers door and back door dented.  Shame on who ever did it and did not leave a number or try to find us in the restaurant!  I called, they said they have no cameras in the parking lot and to file a police report.  I can't give 5 stars, it will end up being an expensive evening. Great atmosphere and awesome staff. It was our first trip to PLX. The food was good, but not great. Service was fast for as busy as it was for a perfect Friday summer night. We will definitely be back.

We have been here a dozen or more times but just to grab drinks overlooking the lake. Today, we ate at Locals, the sports bar, for the first time and were pleasantly surprised how great the food was! I had the Barbecue chicken sandwich with Cajun flavoring  with onion rings. My wife had the Buffalo Chicken wrap that came with chips with  an optional side of French onion dip. Both were outstanding!!! I rarely give a five but tossing one now for this genre of restaurant!7/7/19 - Another great review! Just had a great hamburger. Food is great especially for a lakeside bar. Went here twice, the first time we were here was the "Country Fest Kickoff" party with Mark Leach, unfortunately we tried to order food but waited over 2 hours, when the food was finally coming out we were also told only some of it was there, because they ran out and they wanted to know if we could order something else. After 2 hours of waiting for food, no manager showing up at the table and not wanting to reorder half of our group left without getting anything to eat. They were horribly understaffed. We decided to go back on a night when it wasn't so crowded, the bartenders were quick, the DJ played good music, so based on that experience I would say as long as it's not a big "party" or "event" it's fine to go! I am impressed with my lunch. I also enjoy dinner here as well on occasion. I highly recommend PICKS to anyone looking for high quality , extremely tasty food . I always take my sister to lunch for her birthday, and this year she chose Pick's. Â While there, we had a negative experience. Â Not wanting to be confrontational and make a scene, I wrote a note on the bill about the incident and left a much smaller tip than I normally leave. Â To my surprise, this morning I received a call from the owner of Pick's. Â He had just seen my note and called me immediately to profusely apologize and assure me that no one would ever encounter that issue again. Beyond happy with how everything turned out for my bridal shower at PICKs at PLX. Lindsey was phenomenal at making sure everything went smoothly. They were flexible with the menu and made our budget and vision work perfectly. The party room upstairs is clean, new and has a great view over Portage Lakes. First time here.  We have been to the place next to it and always wondered what was in this building.  Randomly, last minute we decided to go to  a comedy show on the top floor.  It was very nice- the comedians were awesome, the food was TOP NOTCH and the staff was great. My new favorite place at Portage Lakes! Â Lunch upstairs a couple of times has been great, all the people I've met who run the place have been very friendly and accommodating. Â Jackie has waited in me twice and has been wonderful. Â Haven't checked out the sports bar downstairs yet, but will be doing soon! We were spending an evening on the lake and decided to try the drive up service. Â We placed our order online and about 20 minutes later our food was ready. Location, location, location! Beautiful view from the terraced outdoor balconies. Our group of six each enjoyed our meals. The grilled chicken salad was a delicious gluten free option and was clearly marked on the menu. Service was excellent even on a busy evening. This place has potential. "Pick" your seating area. Inside or out on various levels. Â They have an on site food truck. It was closed the night we went there for dinner. The upper bar was very busy and the crowd was having a great time. Service was timely. Beverages were delivered quickly. We ordered a variety of entrees. Three people ordered burgers to be cooked medium. They came with fries which were very good. It really seems the burgers were all cooked to WELL done. Fish tacos were reported to be tasty. My pizza was very similar to a cheap frozen pizza. Â Premade crust, decent sauce, cheese and about 10 pepperonis. It was under cooked. The cheese was barely melted. For $10, it wasn't impressive. The Mac and cheese was nothing special, similar to Velveeta but a white sauce. The building is still being renovated so they have port a potties available. Not my favorite. I hope they are checking their reviews and will work on the food. I'm giving them 4 stars to help a newbie. More...

First visit at the newly opened restaurant. We sat on the patio and quickly had a server. Our drinks were quickly delivered. The menu was limited for outdoor dining but was sufficient. We ordered food and got it within 15 minutes and it was very good. The service was exceptional compared to other restaurants on the Portage Lakes. Our server was awesome and checked on us several times. I'm looking forward to dining in the main restaurant. Keep it up and it will become the #1 hit spot on the Lakes. More...
