This photo session was a treat to myself, having had outpatient surgery just 24 hours prior! Emily set the scene in the comfort of home, with winter whites and cozy knits. And she brought me some tea! My camera shyness melted away and the results are beautiful. Emily gave gentle direction throughout, and yet the entire experience felt spontaneous. We found Emily after we had already taken engagement photos with another photographer. I wasn't in love with the photos and did not want to settle for just "okay" when it came to our wedding photos. After researching a bunch of different photographers, we found Emily and I am so glad we did! Come to find out, we all went to the same high school which helped break the ice. Emily did another engagement session for us and we absolutely loved the photos. I knew I had made the right decision hiring her. She just returned our wedding photos to us and we LOVE ALL OF THEM! She took the time to take a lot of detailed shots of the venue, which was awesome because as the bride and groom, you miss or don't see everything on your big day. Emily makes getting your photo taken not awkward at all. She plays fun games to get everybody smiling and laughing. You really cannot find a sweeter, more genuine person. I recently booked a fun little photo session with Emily, not really knowing what to expect, but WOW -- I was so impressed, not only with the quality of the photos but also because Emily brought energy, warmth, and her amazing spirit to an early morning shoot. Emily was SO much fun to work with. She made us feel so welcome, almost like we’ve known each other for years when we’ve just met that day. We had tons of laughs. I felt so comfortable the second we met. My fiancé even had a great time and she did awesome getting him to loosen up and just have fun all together. I honestly could not have asked for a better time. The pictures are so incredibly beautiful. I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to do them for us while also helping us make beautiful memories when taking them. We are beyond happy.
