About

I have been studying and performing magic since I was only eight years old (I am now in my sixties!), so I have lots of experience entertaining all types of audiences. I specialize in strolling style close-up magic shows for private parties and corporate events.

Q&As

My life-long love of magic began at the age of eight, when my father took me to see my first magic show at the State Fair in Dallas on my birthday. I studied and performed magic as a hobby until the mid nineties, when I was hired to perform at my first professional gig, a charity fundraiser in Dallas. Since then, I have been performing magic as a part-time professional, and I recently retired from my "day job" to pursue performing magic as a full-time career.

I don't use any of the gadgets and equipment, such as mirrors and trap doors, that other magicians use to perform their magic. My magic is "pure", meaning that I use only my bare hands and the props that I am working with, such as playing cards, coins, etc., so the magic has a "real feel" to it that you won't find in many other magic shows. And my magic is performed close-up so that you can see everything that is going on; nothing to hide! That is why I won the trophy for Dallas' Magician of the Year for my original close-up magic show.

I love seeing the smiles and astonished looks on people's faces when they experience one of my shows. With so many horrific and depressing things that are going on in the world, it helps to have entertainment that can take us away from these problems for a while and bring a little joy into our lives. My magic has been described as "breathtaking" and "jaw-dropping", as close to real magic as you can get.

For years, I performed magic as a hobby, then as a part-time profession. But I have had so many requests for magic shows that I could no longer find time for my day job. And since my love of magic has continued to grow bigger and bigger over the years, I felt that I needed to start a business that would allow me to grow my show along with it.

I am very polished and professional at what I do. My father, who was a machinist, taught me to take pride in my workmanship, and to pay close attention to every detail in my work. That philosophy has really paid off for me. He also taught me to treat people fairly, and not overcharge my customers. I am very reasonably priced, considering the quality of work that I produce.

Yes, I have performed magic shows online through Zoom, and I am currently working on a project to update my website with pre-recorded shows that you can watch on your phone or computer at home. However, since I perform my magic close-up, I feel that it has a much greater impact when you can experience it in person.

I am happy to wear a mask or practice social distancing when performing if my client requests it. I have even performed on a stage behind a large Plexiglas wall. I am fully vaccinated, and my booster shots are up to date. I also get regular physicals to make sure that I am always in the best of health.
