My husband took our pittie, Lincoln, to Dr. Wiles at PSVC to be neutered and also to have a lump on his elbow checked out. The doctor was very knowledgeable and thorough and explained to us it was a tumor but this type of tumor was usually benign. He didn’t try to sell us on a bunch of unnecessary or extra procedures. He performed the neutering and the removal of the tumor for a very reasonable rate. My husband and I were very nervous because he’s our baby but everybody there made us feel very confident in their abilities and everybody was so kind to us and our pup. Very happy with this vet. Had our new yorkie shots and then spayed. Had two other pup's spayed at two different clinic's. Both times when we picked them up they were not cleaned one time soaked in urine and wrapped in a dirty towel . The other time the incision was suspect. I would highly recommend this vet. I had to put my kitty of 15 down a few weeks ago. Everyone on staff was super caring and respectful ... down to the little candles they light by a room if a pet is crossing over. Dr. Wiles treated my pup and I with nothing but respect and kindness. He did a very thorough exam, clipped his toe nails, shaved his paw fur, looked up the nutritional info of his dog food, and explained Rico's exam every step of the way. The vet tech also called the Advantage company to make sure it was safe to give my pup (whose only 2 lbs) the preventative flea medicine, which was awesome of her!! Very nice staff! Very friendly except a woman who was at the front desk talking about her fibromyalgia on the phone with someone and ignored me for about 3 minutes while giving me dirty looks. My fur kid needed surgery that his regular vet at Humane Animal Rescue was unable to do, so I contacted PSVC for a consult. They performed the surgery yesterday and I couldn't be more pleased. The vet tech (Casey, I believe) kept me updated throughout the day and even called to ask if I wanted to have his teeth cleaned while he was under anesthesia. The immediately made a same day appointment for 19 year old cat and Dr. Santos quickly and compassionately told me Missy Sue was probably in irreversible kidney failure. She sent me home with medications and promise to call first thing in the morning, though it was her day off. Dr. Santos called as promised by 8:15 am and diverted the bad news personally and then alerted the staff to expect my call to schedule Missy's final visit. The staff took my call and and had me in within90 minutes to relieve Missy's suffering. The lady that handled the procedure was kind, compassionate and shared kind words with both Missy and me while we both shed a tearful goodbye. God blessed all of the lucky animals who have the privilege to b cared for by the amazn staff at Pittsburgh Spay & Vaccinations on Springhill Road. They have been overly kind n gracious, going above & beyond their duty to help their clients. Esp w all that we n our boxer children have had to endure these last months. Its been one helluva ride and I'm so grateful that this Vet & staff have been our GPS, AAA, and mechanic all rolled into one... I have nev known a vet who cares about the emotional well being of ur fur babies almost as much as u do... They even offer n prefer 2 have a complimentary meet n greet to make sure precious babies r comfy w them, & not petrified. I recently had my dog's teeth cleaned here and it was an excellent experience. Our regular vet does not do dentals, and our dog's teeth were in terrible condition. We had adopted him from a shelter and his breath was awful. Plus, his mouth was often kind of wet. Poor guy! PSVC was great. Dr. Wiles and all of the staff made our dog feel relaxed--he was not tense and did not even bark as these strangers lifted and prodded him. When it was all over, they called me to say he was ready to be picked up. They had all of his medications pre-measured with easy instructions to follow! They provided an accurate estimate at the beginning and it ended up being a little less than expected. I love Dr Wiles & his staff, they are the best vet practice I ever had! Â I have had 4 Â leg kids for 40 some years, the only kids I ever had, Doc Wiles has taken care of them 30-35 years, I would trust him with my life. My babies are my life, Doc has saved some of them from imminent death letting me have them more years then expected & I love him for all he has done & continues to do. Some of his staff have been there for years & are so caring & understanding. Lori, Jean, Karen, Lisa, Mary & many more are so professional & try their best to help you with appointments, or problems, or questions to ease your babies issues. I love the Doctors and the staff, when I had to put my dogs down they were so compassionate and caring. We adopted more dogs. Boomer was having seizures and I really didn't think he was going to make it., but he did make it thanks to Dr Judy and the other doctors and especially the staff. Dr Wiles and his front desk and tech staff are top notch. I have a Cavachon who gets frequent bladder stones and we leave a urine sample every 3 months or so and they process it and call us to let us know the results. They are very easy to work with and Dr Wiles is so compassionate about your animal, makes you think you have the only dog in the world when he is talking to you. I've taken my dog to this veterinary to have some teeth pulled. The estimate the gave me was higher than what they actually charged me and so I've been taking him there ever since. The office is clean and the workers are very friendly. But I have to be honest, Dr. Wiles is my favorite. Unfortunately I can't get him every time because of schedules times and my work hours. The other doctors are good, but Dr. Wiles has a way to handle my dog like I've never seen before.
