Evia is a honey! She is on the ball, friendly, helpful, and knows her menu front to back. When we come back (and we will) Evia will be our top choice for waitress. As for the food, the bread selection is divine. Pretzel roll is crazy good! I had chicken salad and avocados stuffed with walnuts. Omg! Fan. Tastic! Hubby had an interesting meal we'd never seen before. Seafood manicotti. He's says it's very original and quite delicious.If the key lime pie didn't have raspberry drizzle on it, we would have ordered it. All in all, a great restaurant with a superb menu. We have been here several times before and were pleased with the food and service. This time, not so much. Extremely slow service and at times, no service at all. Put waitress never checked back with us for drinks, food prepared properly etc. poached eggs should not be hard boiled. For the amount that we spent on our meal, we were very disappointed. We are locals but don't often go here. We had an event to celebrate so we brought our group here.  Aside from the hostess being rude to my in-laws for being too early on their reservation, it was a good experience. Allie was our server and she had a trainee with her. They were great. Allie was bubbly and attentive and fun. We were well taken care of. The food was good. Menu has a good variety of options and prices. All 6 of us enjoyed our meals. It's a beautiful restaurant inside and pretty outside on the river. It's a better deal and more consistent thru the years with quality than Norwoods ( which I would consider the same level of place). Norwoods is a beautiful place too but it always better to be on the water when you come to New Smyrna. Riverview's is more worth the money than Norwoods. More...

This restaurant was just ok in my opinion. The service was good, although the staff had completely ditched their masks just after CDC's announcement on the new mask protocols (which shouldn't apply). It made me a bit nervous.The atmosphere was really nice. We were seated in a covered indoor/outdoor area where we could watch the sunset.As for the food, I've had much better. Everything arrived barely warm, as if it had been poorly reheated or left to sit too long. The calamari and panko breaded shrimp seemed like something that would have come in a bag and not made in house which was a huge disappointment. Tasted good, but poor quality. Best thing I ate was the "chef's vegetables" that came with my meal.Unfortunately, I don't think I'd return. There are better restaurants in the area I'd rather try. More...

Amazing first experience! My sister and I sat outside near the water, ate delicious food, had excellent drinks (especially the piña colada) and had the absolute BEST service from our bartender Kayla all while watching dolphins play in the water. Can't wait to come back!

I felt horrible for the waitstaff. Full house and looked horribly understaffed for that many tables. And to add insult to injury, the live music (which was phenomenal) made patrons have to speak at a very high volume in order to converse.  Our poor waitress couldn't hear a thing we ordered and resulted in a bit of chaos.  It would have been a much better experience if there was just light background music so guests can converse with one another and enjoy a good meal (also quite phenomenal). Food was delicious. Server was polite but overworked. She told us they were understaffed since they weren't expecting to be that busy. We had reservations. Felt uncomfortable that every table was filled and they kept bringing people in. No social distancing enforced. Yes we were in the outside area but with plastic sides down no ventilation so it was like being inside. They should have limited their capacity and turned people away. Arrived for HH, sat at the outside bar. Waited 10 minutes without a hello or any acknowledgement from the only bartender there. He was making drinks for the tables, only 4 people at the bar. Then he proceeded to leave the bar area and wait on a couple that had just arrived. We left went somewhere else. Too bad,  the bartender didn't seem to care or notice us. Last time!bad service! Had dinner outside on the intracoastal.  Food choices were excellent and tables distanced.  All staff wore masks.Be careful with valet parking.  When our car was returned, the attendant slammed the transmission from drive into park.  This was unnecessary. I was disappointed in the food. I ordered macadamia nut encrusted grouper. There were a few macadamia nuts in the Panko breading. No where in the description did it say Panko. I expected macadamia nut coating, especially at $34.99. The quality of the fish wasn't near as good as in the other local New Smyrna Beach restaurants. The rice pilaf seemed to have par-boiled rice. I would highly recommend this restaurant. We celebrated our anniversary there. I made reservations for a table on the rail overlooking the river. We watched dolphins play before our meal. We stopped by the Grille Riverview for dessert on a busy Saturday evening. Fortunately they had a table on the outside patio. The view of the water was relaxing and the time of day gave us an opportunity to watch the dolphin feed within a few feet from our table. The restaurant had an old feel to it and smelled a little damp but our waitress was very pleasant and professional. The dessert menu had several items that looked delicious but the coconut Tres Leches caught the eye of three of us. The forth person went with the mango key lime pie. All three of us disliked the Tres Leches immensely. It had the appearance and taste of a low quality convenience food item that was left out too long. The cake was also very dry. After making a reservation, my party was not asked, but told to move to a new table because some "V.I.P. customers" had come in and wanted the table we had. We asked to speak to the manager, she came up immediately and also told us we would have to move. After being treated that way, we just decided to leave. My wife called the owner about the situation the next morning to which we received no response. Never have I been treated with such blatant disrespect.
