This is hands down the best barbecue I have ever had and a great restaurant in general. BBQ pulled pork is my absolute favorite food, and I am never disappointed here. As a matter of fact, all of our employees prefers Peg Leg. The food is always delivered HOT, as well as, top-notch quality and the quantity is always plentiful. When in the south BBQ is a must! After researching where to find the best BBQ, I came across Peg Leg Porker. Hearing is was named the #1 BBQ in the country and #1 in Nashville for over three years. I needed to check it out.We came in on a Saturday night around 7pm, there was a small line but not too crazy. The menu was great with all the favorites. We had a hard time choosing but decided to try the BBQ Machos, basically loaded pulled pork nachos with cheese, coleslaw, BBQ beans, jalapenos and all I can say is WOW!!!! So amazing, the pulled pork was fantastic and all the other goodies just put this snack over the top. I tied their hot BBQ and regular BBQ. Both were so good!! We also got a side of mac and cheese and the potato salad, both were delish. Staff was nice and friendly. I regret not getting some ribs, they looked so good ad I hear so many good things. Must go Nashville kinda place. Fun atmosphere. Banana pudding is the best I’ve had here. Sorry but this time around the ribs were pretty dry. Links are pretty standard. They have no brisket here so be prepared for that, others in the area do but I was told to go to Texas if I wanted brisket, ok. Since we moved to Nashville 6 months ago we have tried all the BBQ places except for Peg Leg Porker....until tonight. Let me tell you this is the best BBQ I’ve ever had. Not saying the others are bad because let’s face it Martins, BBCutie, Jim Nicks and the others are good but this place is at the top!! Had the pimento cheese appetizer, chicken wings and pulled pork platter. Mac & cheese, baked beans, smoked green beans and the fries were out of this world!!
