A fun spot for tasty Mexican fare that's a little on the pricier side! Nothing blew me out of the water but the food and experience was generally good. The place itself is modeled after a Spanish mansion and has ample seating. They were able to accommodate a larger party since we called ahead. The service was really nice and was able to split dishes between people easily. I got the mushroom enchilada (enchilada de hongos) to share -- it was tasty! The avocado was nice, though I didn't feel like the grilled veggies at the side added much. We also got a fried ice cream which is a different twist on the dish than what we'd initially expected! It's ice cream rolled in corn flakes in a cinnamon-sugar flavored bowl. It's plenty to split between a couple of people, albeit a bit hard to eat. Overall, good food and nice service! More...

Pedro's is a go to spot for almost anything under the sun. There's very few cantinas left in the Bay Area and Silicon Valley in general that are as authentic and appealing on the outside especially at night. I often feel like I'm stepping into a different country. I've seen people get together for intimate date nights, happy hours, work parties or even corporate lunch or dinner. I've been here a few times with all of the above, and my family as well. Never got a chance to review, since then I feel their menu has overall stayed the same. I've tried a few things, my go to is the enchiladas. I was surprised recently there wasn't a two enchiladas combo plate, maybe they took it off or I need stronger glasses. Oh! If you're vegetarian they have a special sauce that doesn't have chicken stock, and same for the beans. Not everything is vegetarian friendly if it seems so, a good practice just be sure is to ask, the staff is well known of what to make of what. My only regret the most recent time was getting the blended mango margarita, I love mangoes so I thought "why not" instead of the regular. I remember their margaritas being really good, well this one just tasted sweet but also like cough medicine. I hate to waste alcohol so I just drank it, although maybe getting it on the rocks would have tasted much better. The food came hot and fresh, and we ate too many chips with the spicy salsa. I always get extra salsa that comes with the chips because it's that good and it goes well eating it with the main course. Until next time Pedro's! More...

I have host parties for 50 onsite but recently Pedro's catered an event for 75 at my jose. It'll the food was just as amazing and the service and setup were up and beyond what I expected. Manuel was the site manager for the even and I can't say enough about him!!! Need catering, choose Pedro's and ask for Manuel.(But would love if they came to pick up the warmers they left. I have been coming to Pedro's on a regular basis for years now, but even more so since I moved to Los Gatos a year ago. This is my spot. Great food, great service. I've been made to feel like family here. They all call me by my first name, they know my drink preferences, and always remember the small modifications I like with my entrees. Do yourself a favor, and visit the bar. The best chips and salsa around (for free, mind you) and the best margaritas in town. I have heard a lot about Pedro's since I arrived in the Bay Area and I finally tried it. When you pull up you see a beautiful building that sets the stage for what is to come. The decor inside is fantastic and we were seated near a fountain. We went hoping for a Taco Tuesday specials but sadly it isn't a thing in the Bay Area. The menu offers a wide range of options and they all look fantastic. The chips and salsa where fresh and they had spicy and not so spicy salsa options. The food tasted very fresh and was made in a timely manner. Our service was wonderful and she was very attentive. We were there toward closing at time serves get so busy with side work the table service can suffer but she did not let the service suffer. Went to Pedro's for the first time for a rehearsal dinner with a few dozen attendees. They set up a nice buffet and gave us a room to ourselves. Honestly, the buffet food was not spectacular. It was decent, but I wouldn't go back based on it. The vegetables were fresh, some of the meat needed to be cooked longer (not raw, but very chewy), and everything was kind of bland. (Now that I think about it, the blandness may have been on request, since there were lots of children in the party.) Also, they were missing a few serving utensils, and I didn't want to use different utensils because I knew several members of the party have serious food allergies. The margaritas were tasty, not crazy good.So why 4 stars? Well, the service was great: low-key welcoming without being overwhelming. They simply did what they needed to without fuss. I never felt obligated to have a conversation with the servers (whom I'm always respectful towards) instead of the party I came with, which is unusual enough that I'm remarking on it.Also, towards the end, they brought in two platters: one of sliced fruit (cantaloupe, melon, pineapple, and watermelon) and another of baked goods (chocolate eclairs, cream puffs, and churros). Both were spectacular: the fruit was very fresh, ripe enough, and thinly sliced. The churros were still warm, and the eclairs were honestly good enough for a bakery. I was pleasantly surprised.If I go back, I might try ordering their crab/seafood enchilada, and asking them for a normal level of spice. And I would leave room for dessert. More...
