The food in my opinion is very authentic, the service is great and the drinks are well crafted. I have been to this restaurant many times and the food and the service and the experience Is always very consistent I’ve never sent any food back I’ve never had a problem with a waiter or waitress the drinks are always very well-crafted and the atmosphere is very light and fun I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to have a good time.

A Madison original! Been going to pedros since they had numerous locations. We moved away but still go to the original east location when we can. I've been by this place a thousand times and never stopped in. I was looking for a dinner spot to go with friends and we were closer so we stopped in. The exterior looks a little old but authentic for a Mexican restaurant. The staff was polite and seated us promptly. It was pretty slow but it was a Wednesday night. I've been told Tuesday and Thursday are the busy nights there as they have margarita specials. We all were working all day and we were thirsty. The waitress got us water right away and kept it coming. They had good chips and salsa and the hot salsa was very hot. We all got the 3 lb burrito in one form or another with different meat choices. I've been to a lot of Mexican restaurants and this is the largest burrito I've ever seen offered. It was really good and had corn and beans inside with the meat. Overall it was a good experience and we'll be back again for more giant burritos. I highly recommend the three pound burrito if you're hungry. You won't be after that. More...

Great margaritas, great food. I visited in July 2018 being back home to visit. I begrudgingly moved away from Madison in 2000 & from WI in 2006 to NW GA. I remember when Pedros opened in the '80's & it was the go-to happy hour & was a guaranteed good time. Always bustling then, I was sorely disappointed when my friend & I visited after 9p on a weeknight & we were the only customers. The margaritas were still good, the bartenders remained fun and accommodating, so I don't know why it perhaps seemed to have fallen from grace. My best local restaurant. Their Margaritas are the bomb! I come almost every week or every other week there with my two kids or my friends or my family. This place is amazing. It feels like a family. I go there quite often, Jason is usually my server and he is very kind and personable. I am very picky, and they very well accommodate me. I highly recommend this place as service is prompt. I do simply have 1 qualm, the bathroom is very poorly lit. Would be nice to have some brighter lights.
