I worked with Dr. Yamamato years ago at an emergency clinic- she was an incredible vet- incredibly intelligent, very caring and sympathetic, and has a wonderful sense of humor and personality, all things a great vet should be. She isn't desensitized to animals as it would appear many vets become. I lost contact with Dr. Yamamato years ago when I left the practice. Last year I had to make the incredibly difficult decision to let my beloved shepherd Dan go to heaven. When I began researching in home euthanasia, Peaceful Pets was the first site to appear on Google- and when I read the site and found Dr. Yamamato was the vet behind the service, it was a blessing to my heart. I was able to have my close friends and family over to say goodbye and Dan was in the comfort of her warm bed, in her home and not in a sterile environment filled with other ill, hurt animals. Dr. Yamamato made a terrible situation into one that brings me comfort that I made the right decision. My family and friends were thankful they were present to support me and Dan, and we are all truly grateful for her and the service she provides. More...

Sadly, last night we had to say goodbye to our beloved 14 year old Labrador T-Bone. Our youngest daughter was 2 when TBone joined our family as a tiny pup. So, needless to say we all have loved on, played with, slept with and hung out with T. When we knew his time with us was coming to an end we called Dr. Yamamoto. She came over at 6:30 in the evening and I felt like an angel walked into my home. I can not really explain her presence but she is so kind, gentle and compassionate. She explained to us the process and we shared TBone stories with her and her assistant. We laughed and cried with them. They did not rush us and even went outside so we could bring our other dog in to say goodbye. They made this painful experience so dignified. I have no doubt that TBone felt no stress or pain as he passed. I am truly grateful for Peaceful Pets. More...

Dr Yamamoto is simply put, an angel. I came across her business online and after reading so many great things about her, I knew she was the one to help us transition my sweet pup to heaven. She came over and made this incredibly painful times in our life as easy as one could hope for. She immediately got to know our very old dog (16 year old Yorkie). He was asleep when she arrived and she started petting him and connecting with him right away. We sat on the floor with the sleeping dog and discussed what had been going on with him. Not only was he blind and deaf, but he had recently become partially paralyzed and had lost the ability to stand at all. I knew it was his time. She listened patiently and we both agreed that this was the best choice for him. She started asking me questions about when I got the dog, which started this very positive and joyful storytelling. That definitely helped ease the process. My baby stayed asleep the whole time and after about 45 min, she administered the medications. He didn't even flinch. He went from a peaceful sleep to heaven with ease and absolutely no trauma or stress. I would highly suggest this method of doing it in the comfort of your own home for anyone dealing with this very painful decision. It allows the dog to stay relaxed and I loved that. After the procedure was done, she allowed me to say my goodbyes and continue giving my baby kisses. She didn't rush me AT ALL and when I was ready for him to go, I let her know. She wrapped him in a blanket and allowed me to take him out to her car. She also handles all the cremation arrangements and will deliver the ashes back to us in a wooden urn. In addition, she gave us the option to do a paw print keepsake to keep for all time. Words honestly can't describe how grateful I am for her and her services. She holds the hands of these beautiful animals and gently crosses them to the other side. I HIGHLY recommend her for anyone needing to make this difficult decision. God bless her for her work! As our baby girl Claire continues to dwindle, we wanted to have a plan in place so when her time comes we don't need to have a "stranger" put her to sleep. I met with Dr. Yamamoto and she was very thoughtful, caring and practical. We are comforted to know that Claire can end her journey at home when her time comes. I feel at peace knowing that we can make the call, together with someone who can help us know when its time. More...
