What do you love most about your job?
What I love most about my job is being able to make a positive difference, not only in the dog's life that I train with, but their owners as well. I love to watch the changes that happen during the training process. Sometimes giving the entire family a different relationship with their dog and a new understanding of how they can live together in harmony. It's a win-win for all involved.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I had volunteered for a service dog organization for more than 12 years working with service dogs, therapy dogs and pet dogs. I love working with service dogs but I wanted to work with more behaviors and help more people with their dogs, so I started my own business. Now I offer more behavior modification training, while still working with puppies and service dogs!
Why should our clients choose you?
I have more than 13 years experience in dog training. I am constantly learning more by attending workshops, conferences and reading everything I can. I also keep up with the latest research and techniques in dog training. This continued education helps me stay on top of the best ways to help you with your dog training needs. I have achieved several professional certifications over the years including CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed), CBCC-KA (Certified Behavior Consultant Canine - Knowledge Assessed), CSAT (Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer), CTDI (Certified Trick Dog Instructor), Stunt Dog Judge, Canine Conditioning Coach, AKC Evaluator, Fear Free Certified Professional, CLASS instructor and evaluator, and a Be A Tree Presenter. I am a Professional member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers and the Pet Professional Guild. I still do volunteer work when I can with the service dog organization and their rescue. I love learning and I love working with and helping dogs and their owners!
