I worked as a Vet Tech for many, many years. I know quite a lot about nutrition and can help you find the right diet for your dog. I worked not only with domestic animals but with wildlife as well. We absolutely love Suzanne. She is so warm, kind and knowledgeable. Our dog Loki loves her. Loki is a very high energy 9 month old german shepherd husky mix, a very crazy boy. We hired Suzanne because I'm pregnant & we need Loki trained and under control by the time the baby is born. That being said, Loki has already learned how to sit, stay, come, & off. He is listening far better in just 2.5 sessions. She's also been training us to train Loki! Amazing trainer. She's the best, seriously. Highly recommend!! What do you love most about your job?
Working one on one with you and your dog. I train YOU to train your dog by explaining what I'm doing and why. Showing you, then asking you to do it. Adjustments can always be made and I am very patient. It's getting back to basics and teaching problem solving, relationship building, and helping to create that forever bond between human and dog.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I had a 501C non-profit animal adoption agency for 12 years, also a pet sitting service. Then started work as a Vet Tech, so this is not my first business. I am nearing retirement age, and am in good shape, and have a fierce love of all animals, dogs in particular, so I'm pleased to be working as a dog trainer.

I'm good at what I do! I will take the best care I can of you and your pet, that's a promise.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Wearing masks, but we are easing up on that. If you want me to wear a mask, I'd be happy to. During last year, I did work with most clients in their yard or nearby park.
Basic and expanded Obedience
Starting with relationship building, I help you and your pet develop trust, and a productive working relationship using positive reinforcement. I like starting with puppies, but do work with older dogs as well. Understanding that dogs don't speak "Human", we need to start speaking "dog", and understanding what their body language is saying. Using hand signals and clear commands is a good start to help the bond between humans and dogs. Dogs read and take cues from your tone and body language as well, so be careful not to yell, hit, and come too fast at a dog (yours or someone else's.)
