The instructors are fun, yet very effective in teaching. They make learning fun and we can see how much our son has developed in only three weeks. He enjoys every class!

Took my first Kick boxing class here and it was such a great class! Lots of cardio, stretching, and fun! Mr. Brown took his time with each one of us if we had any questions about any of the moves. Very comfortable! Can't wait to go back! More...

Along with karate the students learn values. They learn to take turns, be patient and perservering, and how to succeed individually and as a group. Today we had Tyler's birthday party at Edmond Brown's Patriot Karate & Martial Arts. First, I want to thank Mr. Brown and Mr. O for helping make Tyler's birthday party a special day for him. Words cannot do justice for how well the party was organized, there was plenty of food, drinks, and activities to keep the kids busy. I am not sure if the other parents were able to make it known to the staff or not, but there was tons of compliments on how professionally the staff interacted with the kids and parents. My sons and I take classes with Mr Brown and he is fantastic. All the other instructors such as Mr O, Mr Lowry, Mr Kiddo, Ms Kimberly, and others are great. Classes are fun and challenging, the school is not a belt factory like other schools are, and the other staff make the school a family.

We have now been a part of the Patriot Karate's family now for a year. I started out with just one child taking classes, then attending the summer camp. Now I have 2 children attending classes twice a week. Mr. Brown and rest of the staff are knowledgeable, caring, patient and through. They not only take interest in the students (all ages) achieving their skills needed to succeed for their various belts but they also take interest in what can and will make them model citizens. Mr. Brown is truly dedicated to the teaching of the "whole" child. He cares about their life outside the studio and really desires to see future generations succeed. He works tirelessly and knows the delicate balance of being their teacher and having fun with them. The after-hours fun activities give staff time to interact with kids on a whole new level giving both sides the opportunity to get to know one another.
The staff is working hard to make necessary changes, always seeking to improve the classes and studio.
As a homeschool mom, I am so grateful for Mr. Brown's willingness to offer a daytime class for us. Its a great break in the day and covers a variety of PE activities as well character training. The best part is my kids are learning self-defense techniques. Keep up the good work! More...

I have taken martial arts from Patriot Karate for almost 12 years. I started my journey to black belt at only 10 years old, now I am 21 years old and martial arts has continued to help me through every stage in life. At 10 years old I was homeschooled and Karate helped with my social skills, confidence, physical fitness, and gave me an activity that I was passionate about. Throughout my teenage years Karate continued to give me honorable roll models that I wanted to live up to. Mr. Brown through his training became a mentor for me as I moved up to black belt and beyond. Karate gave me the discipline to stay out of trouble and allow me to reach the goals I set for myself. As an adult I will never forget the skills that I learned at Patriot Karate. I feel confident in my abilities to protect myself and those I love against anyone that wishes to do then harm. It also gave me valuable life lessons that I will carry throughout my life. My daughter started taking classes about 5 weeks ago. I originally wanted to find something to help her with listening and respect. My oldest daughter started attending Patriot Karate in March 2015. Since attending I have watched my once shy little girl come out of her shell and flourish. Going to Patriot Karate for her classes is the highlight of her week.
Mr.Brown is so amazing with his students. He teaches them with an amazing bounty of patience, kindness, and adoration. You can tell he truly loves what he is doing as he instills the love of karate in his students. The other instructors are all absolutely wonderful. Mr. O and Ms. Kimberly are valuable leaders with the same amazing passion for karate as Mr.Brown.
They are doing more than teaching karate though; they are helping us parents in raising our children with respect, compassion, and drive. For example, if a child brings in their report cards from school with good marks they praise them for all of their work.
Walking in the door you are always greeted with a very warm welcome. You almost feel like you are being welcomed home in that everyone is happy to see you there. Mr.Brown especially makes everyone feel so special.
