My teenage son has been taking guitar lessons with Pat for the past couple years and the results have been terrific. I have been with Pat for around 6 months, before pat i was with other guitar teachers and they didn't teach you the right steps or the songs you want to learn, pat always teaches me the whole entire song from beginning lick to chorus to solo, he really teaches like a virtuoso, i would give pat 6 out of 5 stars.

Pat Hurley is a superb guitarist and an amazing guitar instructor. He is thoroughly grounded in music theory and offers a wealth of great materials to help students along. He is always friendly, constructive, logical and efficient with lesson time. Pat teaches all age ranges well, but since I’m in my early fifties, I’ll speak to my experience with how he works with an older student. When I began taking lessons about eight months ago, I was already more or less at an intermediate level, so we started out working very productively on Beatles covers and similar material. Lately, we have been working on songs of my own composition, and he’s been wonderfully helpful in suggesting ways to improve every song I bring in. Pat has an excellent ear for harmonies, chord combinations, and so forth, and he always knows how to get the most out of a particular passage of music. I continue to learn from him every week -- new things about music theory as well as practical advice about songwriting and playing guitar.
