I came across Pa's during the Wagner Outdoor Experience festival at Eastwood Metropark. They had a great menu, but I finally decided on the Nashville Nachos which featured housemade fried chicken dipped in honey chipotle sauce with pico de gallo, queso, and jalapenos. Despite how busy they were, my order came up quite quickly and was nicely sized. The chips were run of the mill, the queso was great, pico good, but the star of the show here was the chicken! The chicken was cut into pieces but maintained its thick crispy coating. It was tender and juicy. It was sauced with just the right amount and the sauce itself was incredibly delicious. I could have eaten an entire tray of just the chicken! Overall there was an adequate amount of topping to go with the pile of chips. Hope to come across them again and try more of the menu! More...

So here I am at Yellow Springs Brewery, with three servings of nachos before me. The traditional Pulled Pork is reaffirming my belief in nachos. I had a backyard wedding this weekend and Pa's Pork did a fantastic job! So many people told my husband & I how amazing the food was-a lot of them said it was the best wedding food they ever had! ! We personally loved the food so much we will plan to find them when they're just out on the streets in Dayton. I'm not big on doing reviews but man do these guys deserve it! They are upbeat, kind, conversational, caring and the food is wonderful! I asked a lot of questions to try to cater to my dietary needs (which I wouldn't have done if they were crazy busy) they not only answered my ingredient questions they were quick to make suggestions, happy to accommodate and even tell their personal relatable stories which just made me feel so comfortable and like less of a pain! As someone who works in the service industry, I hate to feel like I'm causing anyone trouble because I certainly know how that can be! So about the food....Delicious! I can't wait to go back. I had a modified pulled pork taco and a smoked tofu taco, both were fantastic! I'm a veggie friendly meat eater, formerly vegetarian of 14 years. I still embrace the food. Oh man, I've been remiss--how have I not posted a glowing review of my favorite food truck yet? Let's start with the people behind it: the friendliest folk you'll meet, and it's easy to see they love their craft. Always smiles, it's a joy to come out and support them! And the food is always *damn* good. From traditional favorites to the oddballs like my personal favorite, the Pig Apple, they've never delivered a taste less than stellar. Furthermore, they occasionally experiment with their offerings in ways that are unsurpassed in creativity in the Dayton area's cureent food truck scene (that is, now that ZombieDogz truck is no more, RIP). I don't know why I haven't posted a review for PA's Pork before now but better late than never, right? Lol. This food truck has the best food around! Everything I have ever eaten from this truck has been delicious (the nachos, the schnitzel, the dippers, the pulled pork sandwiches, Oh My)! And their aioli and sauces are also amazing and should be bottled for sale! And on top of all of this, the owners are some of the nicest people you will ever meet! I've been able to sample their food several times. Their smoked pork is always tasty, but it is the other things that make them really stand out. My wife loves The Pig Apple, and they always get it right, and hold the sauce. I was able to try Tender by Nature last night. It was fantastic! Great chicken tenders. A dead on biscuit, and really good sausage and bacon gravy. The best part for, surprisingly, for me was the braised greens with the buffalo chipotle sauce. The greens were flavorful and tender, and the bit of spice and vinegar from the buffalo sauce was perfect. All together, and amazingly well composed, and delicious, bite. If you can, grab something from here. Everything is great. Don't shy away from the specials. The schnitzel is in incredible as well. And the honey jalapeños are a perfect sweet spicy treat to add to nachos or a sandwich. More...
