Parnelli's Chicago Eatery

What a great spot!! Visited Parnelli’s this past weekend and was quite impressed! Being born and raised in Chicago, we had to try this “Chicago Eatery” in southern Indiana. And we were not disappointed! The menu has a great variety at a good price, the staff was friendly and fast, and the restaurant is immaculate and so nicely decorated in Chicago paraphernalia. I would definitely recommend trying the Parnelli Burger and do not miss out on the sliders! They are amazing! Also, they serve great Chicago style hot dogs and delicious chili that is the owner’s own recipe! The garlic sauce for the fries is a must and definitely get a scratch-made cookie to round out the meal. We were very happy and satisfied with our visit to Parnelli’s and will definitely be back! Great customer service. Food was ready quickly. I recommend the Gyro w/ garlic fries. My husband was raving about his Reuben and the garlic fries as well. So yummy! Will definitely be back

Made my first stop at Parnelli's today and had the Italian Beef Being from the Chicago suburbs now in Hanover Indiana been waiting for a real Chicago style eatery They are Chicago style 10+ Compares to my favorite Chicago eatery in Bellwood Illinois

I have to send a major shout out to the staff working end of shift on 6/12/20. I came in at like 7:55 not knowing that they closed at 8 during this Covid mess. I found out while I was waiting that I had unintentionally become one of those awful people that walk in right before close and order up the menu. Look, I know management would say “that’s our job” and even the staff said the same while I was apologizing profusely, but they were just the absolute best for not even giving me a stink eye about it. (And you know my anxiety had me looking for it after I realized what I had done) What they didn’t know is that I’ve been craving one of these Italian beef sammiches sooooo bad... I’m almost down 100lbs in the past year and I’ve done really good lately, so I was treating myself to one of those delicious beasts of a sammich. So thank you so very much, Parnelli’s staff. If you are looking for somewhere that tastes like Portillos, this isn’t the place but is close. However, it’s a good alternative considering the nearest Portillos is in Indy.

I picked up the gyro with fries and a Chili cheese dog. Ordered over the phone and I had to call back a few times to change/add items on the order the staff was awesome and understanding. Got the food back to work for me ad my coworkers and it was AWESOME! Was all to order. The gyro was great! The fries were the best I have had in a long time. I don’t leave reviews very often, but I have to say that this is my favorite place to eat, on earth, period. I’ve eaten everything from $1000 steak dinners to McDonald’s, but Parnelli’s takes the cake. I live an hour drive away but I try to get here as often at least twice a week. This place is the bomb. Was just there for first time tonight. Since our Chicago trip was cancelled thought we try this. Ordered classic Chicago Dogs with fries and just chili cheese dog. Was charged for combos on all. First and this is a compliment, how on earth did you get my chili recipe, that brought a tear to my eye. It was delish! We picked up a to go order after a week of remote work from home. I tried Parnelli's last night for the first time. I did not come in with high expectations (no offense to the company, this just isn't normally my type of food), but the Italian Beef really hit the spot. Parnelli's catered a luncheon for us at work. We had a buffet of gyros, Italian hoagies, and Chicago dogs. The food was great! The tzatziki sauce and the au jus for dipping was so yummy! The chocolate chip cookies were perfection! A perfect combination of soft and gooey in the middle and crunchy on the edges. My mouth is watering just thinking about them. Awesome place! We stopped by one evening after work and got 2 Italian beef sandwiches and fries and a Chicago Dog. We both said they were some of the best fries we've had in a LONG time. Thought we’d come try you guys out this evening. Unfortunately we had to walk away and go eat somewhere else. There was very limited seating available for customers to come and sit down to eat. When I say limited I’m referring to only like 5 booths in the whole facility. For a new facility you’d think you’d have ample seating for your customers to come and enjoy a sit down meal.
