As 40-year Portland residents, we loved shopping at Parker Furniture.  Over that time, we bought an entire dining room (table, chairs, hutch), as well as smaller items with which to decorate (lamps and such). Our last purchase (in about 2015) was a beautiful power recliner (see picture).In our many visits, all personnel were friendly, professional, and most helpful.In 2019, we moved to Washington. One casualty of the move was the power source for the recliner. It's a pretty particular part, and we had multiple conversations with our movers about getting it replaced.Exasperated after six months of searching (we even called Italy), we finally just called Parker Furniture. Thank goodness for David and all the others who helped us. They had a new power unit to us in under a week, and the moving company picked up the charges (which were minor).We cannot thank David and all the Parker personnel enough for their help. I guess our point is simple: If you want some of the best furniture in town--as well as fantastic customer service--you don't have to go anywhere but Parker Furniture. More...

Great selection, great quality, great service! After looking everywhere for patio furniture we finally ended up here and we hit the jackpot! There were so many gorgeous pieces that we could see and touch and sit in. When we found what we liked, we then got to select our fabric and metal colors. It wasn't cheap, but we weren't looking for cheap stuff. We want good quality that will last decades, and that is what we got. The service was outstanding and when it's delivered they'll even set it up for us! So glad we made the trip to Parker. More...

This is a belated review for Parker Furniture but better late than never.We were looking for a nicer-than-average convertible bed for our guest room and had driven past Parker Furniture many times. We also kept seeing their commercials on TV and knew we had to check them out. We had seen a brand we were interested in, American Leather, at another store but the price was way out of our range. Or so we thought.As we entered the store, a very pleasant woman greeted us and asked what brought us to the store. We told her we were shopping for a basic sofa bed for our guest room. She immediately called one of the store's certified Interior Designers, Frank Bence, and off we went to the largest selection of sofa beds we'd ever seen.Frank made it clear up front what the price ranges were. Basically, you get what you pay for. We looked at some "cheapies" (just over a few thousand dollars) but when we saw the American Leather sleeper sofa we knew we had to up our budget.We ended up special ordering the "Kaylyn" queen sleeper with a gel mattress. It was fun choosing the fabric too. I took a paint swatch from our walls just to be sure. Through the whole process Mr. Bence was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. A few days after visiting the store, Frank sent us a personal note of thanks and a typed copy of our order.It didn't end there. Six weeks later our sleeper sofa was delivered and set exactly where we wanted it by two very professional delivery guys. I couldn't believe how heavy the sofa was and to this day I cannot move it from its spot in the guest room. When I die, it stays with the house!I recommend Parker Furniture very highly, just know going in that they don't sell cheap stuff. More...

We had a wonderful experience with Parker Furniture, from top to bottom.  Starting with Designer Maria Marshall, we worked to completely redo the living and dining spaces in our downtown Portland condo.  Maria met with us in our home and worked with us closely to understand our tastes, budget, requirements, etc.  She really took the time to get to know us.Maria came up with an overall design and shared that with us.  We reviewed a variety of different pieces and made our selections.  Maria was outstanding, reviewing choices in material and finishes as we worked our way through a couch, five chairs, a dining room set, a variety of lamps, side tables and cabinets as well as pillows.  She helped us select wall colors that would complement and not distract from our furniture selections.Now that we've got everything installed, we can really see how nicely Maria's eye incorporated our existing pieces and our overall esthetic.  Everything works beautifully together.  She got it right!Of course, Maria was at our place for the delivery (which went smoothly by Parker's very professional, thorough and careful delivery team) and later helped us cast a critical eye over how we wanted to incorporate our existing artwork into the overall design.Bottom line: we couldn't be more pleased and are grateful for the outstanding work.  We're very happy to have chosen Parker Furniture and designer Maria Marshall.  Finally, a shout out to Neil Kelly for suggesting Parker in the first place.  We've already asked Maria for help as we have Neil Kelly redo our bathrooms and look forward to continuing to work with her and get her outstanding guidance. Our experience with Parker's was exemplary from start to finish. We went in looking to replace a reclining couch and was greeted by Sharon Kidd. They had one to show and it was both beautiful and on sale. Sharon was patient, informative, and expedient. Parker's sells high-end merchandise and the couch we fell in love with was way beyond what I had anticipated price-wise. That said, I had to think about it and I didn't have but a few days before it went off sale and increased by about 3k. We did shop around and found a couple alternates made overseas (the couch we bought is produced in Texas of high grade leather) with extraordinary lead times e.g greater than 6 weeks, but about 25% the cost. I'm a firm believer that as a rule, one gets what one pays for and after a couple more visits to Parker's to revisit the couch and chat with Sharon I made the decision to move on it. Since this was a gift for my wife's birthday I had to wait about six weeks, but the couch got it in to the store after about four. Since it was a gift, Sharon had it delivered with a red bow which I thought was very considerate. Some reviewers complained about delivery issues and I can tell you Payton and Jamison arrived on time, were very efficient, professional, careful, and thorough. I couldn't have asked or expected better service. They told me to call them with any subsequent questions or issues and they'd have no problem coming back. In the course of dealing with Sharon I had the opportunity to meet the owner (Parker's has been in the same family for about 63 years) He was affable and very easy to work with as well. So there you have it - a great product and great service top to bottom. I recommend Parker's for anyone looking for quality furniture. I know they will be my first and likely last stop next time.
