Reserved a 11 top. Made the party wait for 15 minutes than gave us 10 top and asked the woman of the night to double up at end when there was 2 clean tables in the vicinity. Food is ehhhh. There was a elderly vibe for sure. Basically a wanna be 5-4star restaurant. Not worth the money More...

A perfect evening!  From the the person who took our reservation to our arrival and brief stop at the bar before our table was ready, my wife and I enjoyed one of the nicest "nights out" in many years.  The bar smelled great with the fragrance of basil.  The bartender was so nice, and so competent.  Our server, Taylor, was awesome, as was the rest of the wait-staff.  Extremely personable, and knowledgable about the menu.  She capably advised us about about our dining choices.  The food was some of the best we've had....my wife appreciates a good pork chop, and she said this was the best!  The chef is a real rock star.  Everything that came to our table was incredibly well-prepared and presented.  You can tell that everyone working there enjoyed their job, and takes pride in what they do.  The great food, wonderful staff and pleasant atmosphere made for a truly delightful night.\ More...

So....6th wedding Anniversary,  y wife and I had originally planned to eat at Gloriette in Covington, but decided that since we were both really tired and had our sons birthday party next day, we would go somewhere closer to home and chose Pardos. This is my 3rd time at Pardos-once when it was in Covington and twice in Mandeville. I was incredibly disappointed.Firstly, the ambiance is really nice and the prices indicate a fine dining experience e.g. 70 dollars for beef rib! There is also a young man walking around in a suit with a very large Windsor knot tie looking the part...he was very cordial and friendly as host. Beyond the ambiance and friendly staff, it went down hill from there.We ordered bone marrow, farmers ravioli and Pappardelle. Both pasta dishes were salty beyond belief-barely edible. In fact, neither of us finished our dishes or even got close to finishing. The bone marrow however was delicious. The chef needs to learn about acid and use less salt, respectfully. There was no nuance-it was salt, salt, salt and fat. Even the Caesar salad I ordered was pure salt.The cocktails were pretty good and the waitstaff was friendly, if not a bit scattered.Pardos seems to do very well as there is no other "fine dining" in the area, so this review will almost definitely fall in deaf ears, but I hope they listen as I will not be back anytime soon for $200 plus meal of sodium. I went here last night for my birthday and was so impressed with everything from the food to the ambiance and ESPECIALLY the service. Briana was outstanding and as sweet as her candied pecans! We need more people like her not only in the service industry but just in life in general! More...
