We were craving paella and Papa's Tapas did not disappoint!!! We have been trying to support local restaurants during the pandemic, and were thrilled to see Papas Tapas taking part in Delray' s Socially Distant Supper Club. We went there for the second time this February and it was every bit as good as before. To start with, their sangria is terrific - nice balance of fruit without overpowering the wine. Of course, the whole meal was tapas and it's hard to decide what we liked best. We had the sautéed mushrooms and garlic, montaditos de chorizo, the Spanish omelette, spinach croquettes, and the empanadas. It was all so good. I went here for my birthday on a Friday night! We had reservations! There was five of us! It was actually very busy around 7p. m. We got fried calamari,gambas al ajillo, and empanadas! The calamari was good! Shrimp was amazing! Empanadas were good! I liked the chicken better than the beef.For dinner I got shredded roast pork! It was yummy!The shrimp was the best part. Papas Tapas is my go-to place to take friends when we just want to chill, have a glass of wine, enjoy our conversation and have GREAT food! Everything is delicious. I am a Tapas kind of girl, because I love sampling and this place does the best Tapas. Some of my favorites include the Spanish Omelette with that delicious sauce, and the Spinach Croquettes. Then there's the mushrooms...sauteed in garlic and oil. Make sure you dip your bread in that oil...yum! I also love the Veggie Quesadilla (tons of veggies) and the Brussel Sprouts! They aim to please every time, and the service is always with a smile. The family who owns this place is amazing. I love the food, but it is a touch on the expensive side. I love the chicken with sun dried tomatoes and onions with the rice. The rice is soooooo good. The bacon wrapped plantains are amazing. My boyfriend loves the beef sliders. I'm not looking at a menu so I can't remember the exact name but the cheese and spinach croquettes are expensive but sooo good (very heavy though). The almond cake was very small but amazing. Wow! Love Papa's Tapas! This place is family owned and operated, and the food is awesome! The Chimichurri steak was super yummy, and the empanadas are the best around--flaky dough and perfectly seasoned beef! Our table also split a few other tapas, all of which were excellent.  The service was warm  and friendly, and it's really a place you want to linger after your meal for a while. On our next visit, I'd be interested in trying the paella; they have a few different kinds, and it's made fresh for each order. However, there's a two person minimum to order the dish, so go with a friend. More...

Wasn't sure what  to expect, all of the reviews were really good and I agree, the food was really delicious. We had the happy hour honey shrimp,  chicken empanadas and rosemary garlic chicken wings. Really really good!! Happy hour Chardonnay, not good, ordered Chardonnay off regular menu, it was just OK. Will try the Spanish Rojas  next time. Looking forward to coming back. More...

Doesn't look like much but the service and the food is excellent! We have been trying to find our forever Mexican Restaurant and this is a winner! ! It's cosy clean and not overwhelming.  An intimate place to take your significant other or for a quick bite after hours.  A  fabulous place to take your family too!!! I had never been here before and met up with 2 of my friends before the chaos of the holidays begins. This place is so good! You can do tapas or full meals. The service was awesome and we didnt wait to get seated though we did make our way to the bar for sangria. We had peas with pork (so good), mushrooms, sauteed calamari and a pork entree. Everything was spot on and I totally recommend it! There were a lot of amazing options on the menu and I hope to check it out further. One word....wow!   I'm not sure I will be dining on Atlantis Ave anytime soon.  This restaurant in Pineapple grove is amazing!  The Spanish flavors are delicious and authentic.  I started with the sautéed calamari cooked perfectly then the mini Cuban sandwich by far the best I have ever had and I spent 25 years in Miami.  The pulled pork dinner is out of this world  tender, moist and full of Latin flavor.  Papas tapas has become one of my favorite place in downtown Delray. Wow! Just wow... if I'd have known that Papa's Tapas was around I'd have gone before. Not sure how I hadn't heard or seen it in Yelp or anywhere but came highly recommended from a friend. And boy did they not disappoint! There are so many options for the small plates and that Saturday 10/26 the Chef was rolling those dishes out perfectly! The Sautéed Mushrooms are simply FANTASTIC! Garlic, wine, and slight oil sautéed to tender meaty perfection *.* The Tostones were nice and crunchy, the Plantains were ao and crunchy on the outside, the Garlic Shrimp was tender and flavorful. The Tortilla Española was properly filled with potatoes and fluffy beaten egg- accompanied by a great sauce to top it. The Sautéed Peppers were sweet and great to go along with the Seafood- Calamari on point! Well, we ordered about 15 different plates between a group of 5- and they were ALL just fabulous..!!! I thought I had taken many more fotos of all but seems they're either blurry or didn't save. Nonetheless, all of their food is just great. Be prepared to be in a somewhat noisy environment, but I believe that's also part of the charm- comida de tapas española en grupo es la manera de comer! The Wine we were offered was off menu, and it was a nice fruity Tempranillo that was just delicious with the tapas. Wonderful family owned restaurant with great service and delicious food! We were waited on by Christina and Carlos - Christina is the owners daughter and you felt like family! Dinner is consistently good here! I've tried apps paella and entree's. Staff is always nice and wine is pretty inexpensive compared to other places on the ave. Quiet spot just off the ave.

What a great surprise!  My love  took me to an authentic Spanish eatery that he had tried on two previous occasions with some of his pals.  We were seated by a very warm hostess named Lin. Then we were blessed with a friendly charismatic and knowledgeable server named Yvette.  I immediately got the feeling that this was going to be a night and place to remember. We started off with a pitcher of sangria. It was a perfect concoction of deliciousness.   Next we hit the tapas as this was the reason for our visit. Sardines were ridiculously scrumptious. Then came the mussels in a sweet pepper broth followed by clams with a thick basil dressing. We soaked our hot bread rolls into each sauce until the place were spotless. We finally ended with the chorizo Jerez.  They were spicy yet sweet.  The tapas were like engaging in a food orgy.  I already asked my love to bring me back again soon. More...
