Tacos were great and service was very fast.  Sides were all on the level of meh, but the tacos killed.  The special Al pastor was bomb

Horrible and the prices aren't accurate and that made fresh definitely not true for my order so disappointing

Shrimp tacos were good but lack a creme sauce.  Burrito was horrible.  After check out I see on the receipt after being shocked at the high price that they charge a 13% INFLATION fee on top of tax.  Is that even legal?  Needless to say my family of 4 will never go back.  Overpriced and nothing exciting about their food. What an unexpected surprise!!!!  I frequent the beer cave at Valero often.  If you haven't checked it out...you should.  They have an amazing assortment of craft beers for all tastes.  But this isn't about them.  I suppose I need to write a review for that too, but I digress.  This is about that beautiful man Papa and his amazing tacos I just had.  I'm getting ahead of myself so let me back up.  As I was saying...I frequent the beer cave often but this time (as fate, karma, and the Great God Almighty would have it) it was lunch time.  I didn't even know this place was in there, but I was hungry, so I ordered street tacos (bene, el pastor, and asada).  As I was waiting, Papa came out and talked to me.  He told me about his business, his passion for flavor and seasoning, and quality.  It was refreshing.  This guy loved what he did and I knew I was in for a culinary treat.  As the girl behind the counter brought me my order (to go), Papa encouraged me to have a bite there while it was fresh.  I love that.  Again...passion.  I think he wanted to see my reaction.  I get it.  I love to cook and seeing someone enjoy your passion is the most rewarding thing ever.  Unfortunately I had to go as I was on my lunch break.  I think Papa was disappointed in me.  I'm sorry Papa...I let you down.  It won't happen again.  So I got home, and started in on the tacos.  Holy crap!  These were amazing tacos.  SO. MUCH. FLAVOR!! These just hit different.  That's all I can say.  I had never heard of bene (sweet marinated pork...slightly crispy on the outside) before, but it's sensational. Everything was fresh, and the tacos (while being small street tacos) were loaded with meat.  I think I liked the bene the best, but you can't go wrong with the others.  I had some hot sauce on the side, but they already had a sauce on them.  Warning...when they say "hot"...they mean HOT.  This stuff was fire, but so awesome.  But be careful if you're not into really spicy stuff.  Get it on the side. Anyhow...already making plans to take the rest of my family here.  I highly recommend going and checking Papa and his crew out...you won't be sorry. More...

I had to try this place because of the high reviews. I expected to drive up to a small business storefront but was surprised to find this hot spot in a gas station! Easy to miss!I got there 15 minutes before opening and there was a regular customer already waiting to place her order. I placed my order as the second customer and found it interesting that it took about 15 minutes for me to get my food! I did see the disclaimer that all orders are made fresh, but isn't that expected? I got a vegetarian burrito and the papas taco! Both were good, I missed out on the grilled tortilla on the burrito since I didn't eat it right away-- next time. Serving was too generous, and even though I asked for beans and rice, there wasn't any rice in my burrito :(The hot salsa is delicious. Since I'll be in the area for work I plan on trying it one more time! I feel like I missed the 5 star rating opportunity More...

Would be four stars but the unpredictability of hours and drive-thru being open costs a star. That said, this spot is a must-visit. Really cool fusion of straight-up classic Mexican street food (tacos, quesadillas, etc) but also a lot of those more modern California creation that include, like hot Cheetos and stuff. Everything I've had here is delicious. They also score big points for their hot sauce being legitimately hot. It's this really flavorful habanero-based sauce. My recent favorite is the potato taco. They use a fried flour tortilla, potatoes, lettuce, cilantro, and that stretchy white cheese you see in quesabirria. More...

Amazing food !! Amazing owner !! Amazing service !!The food is super fresh and seasoned to perfection. I recommend the asada tacos

I haven't been here since they started charging the "Covid" fee. I was driving by and felt like having  their carne asada burrito that I use to enjoy eating. Seems like everyone behind the counter was having an off day. I didn't care, I just wanted FOOD! I ordered a cane asada burrito ($10.38) and a lobster taco ($3.83).      The lobster taco was good, but way too small for the price. The guacasalsa was better that others I have tasted. Honestly,  I don't think I'd try it again, although I do recommend.    The burrito was another story. It was extremely greasy. If it wasn't that I was extremely hungry ( I hadn't eaten breakfast and it was 1pm), I would have thrown it away. The meat was really salty, but other than that the burrito had no flavor. I know its hard to explain this. All I tasted was salt.      The burrito did have a lot of meat in it, I'll give them that, but my stomache was killing me ( I'm guessing its the grease) right after. I was only able to eat half. More...

Pros: clean, friendly service, convenient (located in a Valero gas station - they have a drive thru too!) so easy right off the freeway on your drive to /from Las VegasCons: Doesn't taste like typical Mexican food. I was expecting standard Mexican like Adalbertos, Alibertos, Sabrosadas, etc all the typical drive thru Mexican...and that it wasn't. (I eat cheap Mexican drive thru a few times a month)But instead they add their own spice blend to everything: bean & cheese burritos, carne Asada burritos, carnitas, carne Asada tacos, everything doesn't taste standard it tastes like a smoky chipotle type spice. I can't quite place the spice but it wasn't what I was expecting so I wanted to warn my fellow YelpersI wanted tradition Mexican so we won't be back but it was good quality meats just not the normal flavors we were expecting and we weren't fans of the spice in everything. We like to add salsa for spice and not have it cooked into the meat and beans... More...
