10/18/2019 I read all of the reviews so I was hyped to order some food from this soul food restaurant. When I got there it took forever to get my food which I already expected so that’s not a big deal. HOWEVER I did not expect my food to be so salty. It really felt like they put 2 tons of salt on my food. I honestly feel like I have high blood pressure now just from eating it. I had ordered fried chicken macaroni & collard greens (my favorite meal) the food was really really good it was just too salty and for someone who puts a lot of salt on everything that was TOO much!!! Other than that everything was good. #TooMuchSaltOh yeah one more thing the rib sauce was not all that to be honest. The ribs were fantastic seasoned perfectly but that sauce is a no for me.Update 10/24/2019 I spoke with the owner Tai and she promised me that next time I come back the food will be perfect. She said the food isn’t usually overall salty it much have been a mix up.Update 10/25/2019I just ordered the same food again & it was SOOO good. It was not salty at all I was able to add my own salt. I actually met the owner Lai & she is very very nice. She actually gave me the food for free which was an added bonus because I had my card out ready to pay. I will definitely be coming back here. I love the service & the food. If anything is wrong with your service or food you should definitely write a review because they take them seriously & they will correct the issue immediately. Stopped in for lunch today. First thing that happened was two guys in the parking lot invited me to check out their huge smoker. Being it was my first time tiiheré I was asking a lot of questions an older man who Im assuming was the owner gave me a 10 inch piece of rib meat, it was the most delicious piece of meat I’ve ever tasted. I ended up getting the order of ribs which were out of this world. I will delve further into their menu as time goes on. I live fairly close so I will definitely be going back. The pork chop sandwich was screaming at me but I held firm. This is strictly take out so if your looking for an AC dining room this isn’t your place. But if your Leto pick up some authentic BBQ with a little bit of soul food on the side, this is your place. The food is to die for. The order of ribs at 10.70 is two meals for me. Awesome family run BBQ joint. Very nice people with some serious barbecue recipes. We had the briscuit and ribs, my guests said some of the best they ever had. My daughter eats here frequently and had nothing but excellent things to say about the food and service. She would text pictures of her food to me, my husband and her sister. Every time we came to Deerfield our time was limited so we could not go to Papa Sauce, well we got a chance to go tonight. I had ribs and my husband had chicken, the meat was so tender, the sides, beans, potato salad, collard greens, mac and cheese, Texas toast, had us literally licking our fingers and the service was excellent.
