First time going and it has become one of my new favorite restaurants! The food was delicious and reasonably priced! We got breaded flounder, pimiento cheese grits, mashed potatoes, salad with strawberry vinaigrette dressing- was all AMAZING! They season everything well. They know how to cook and bake. I found this gem. I found it was hugely popular and for good reason. I was lucky being I was solo and was able to seat right away at the bar. Although the people who went on the waiting list weren’t complaining. I had an awesome waitress duo (sorry I forgot your names) that were friendly, helpful and quite frankly made me feel so welcome. Now the food.... I asked for a couple suggestions and picked one! I was amazed at the portion size but more amazed at how flavorful my meal was. Every plate I saw leave the kitchen looked amazing! *This review is for 2 separate visits!!*Came here for the first time on December 7 for brunch and it was amazing! My coworkers and I were seated immediately (table of 5) and our server was very attentive from the beginning to the end. I ordered a Bellini to drink and fried okra as an appetizer. The okra was cooked crunchy just like I like it and brought out piping got! For my entree I ordered the Shellfish Grits and I’m glad I did. Soooooo good and fulfilling. I even had leftovers that were so much better the next day! I would definitely come back for their brunch! The second time I came was for a celebration dinner with coworkers and friends on December 9. I ordered a side salad for an appetizer and Red Sangria and both hit the spot! For my entree I ordered a turkey burger with okra but was brought fries. They were still good and I didn’t send it back. The food was amazing, service good, and the wait was not long at all. Whenever I’m back in South Carolina I will definitely come back to this place to try out other menu items! More...
