Another bowl and another reminder of why I love this place so much! Today I opted for The Greenbelt, a mix of tuna and salmon on top of brown rice with teriyaki, avocado, seaweed salad, crispy onions, cucumber, edamame, unagi sauce, green onions, cilantro, and sesame seeds! I mean!!!! The mix of flavors is delicious. Everything I try from here seems to top the choice from before. If you blink you might miss this place located on 9th street downtown, but I promise if you take the time to wander in on any give day, you won't be disappointed. My go to places when i need to take food with me or crave some decent healthy option to all the junk out there. Have to admit, only tried two options here. They were so good, I stopped experimenting and I keep going back to bogus basin one which is the crowd favorite apperantly. I always get the brown rice option and add a seaweed salad that even my kids eat. Fish is always fresh and the bowl is so nutritious and delicious. Came here yesterday with a girl friend before a show atThe Egyptian Theatre.I really loved all the healthy options. Definitely a great place to go if you're trying to stay keto or just eat healthy!  The fish was fresh and we both enjoyed it. I'm so happy to see Poke shops popping up all over the west coast! Everyone I speak to seems to have their own personal favorite restaurant, but its safe to say Paddles Up is one of mine. The restaurant offers a fair number of signature combinations for your ordering convenience, even though I do find all of the variations a little mind-boggling. I will just have to work my way through the menu. You can also build-your-own if you have something specific in mind. There are many fresh ingredients to choose from, with shrimp and smoked chicken rounding out the options.The restaurant is conveniently located in the core downtown district right across the street from one of my favorite places in Boise, Freak Alley. The staff are usually pretty friendly, however busy. They seem to do a fair number of delivery service (Door Dash) orders, especially in the evening.I've returned to Paddle's Up multiple times when visiting Boise, mostly because the owner was so incredibly kind during my first visit. Incredible spot for date nights or a quick bite during your downtown holiday shopping. Location makes it a great place to stop before a concert at the Knitting Factory or a Steelheads game at Century Link Arena. Service is always friendly and prompt and food is always wonderful. Even if you're not a fan of poké, I'm sure Paddles Up will convince you otherwise. Their Fiesta bowl and Eagle Road Rage bowl are tasty and definitely worth a try, while the poké nachos are great for sharing. Paddles Up is simply a spot you cannot miss when visiting Boise. More...

I've been a regular customer since I first heard about Paddles Up. I've tried other places before Paddles up, but Dan and his crew have the best poke bowls in town!  They always have fresh fish options and healthy ingredients for your bowl.  You can try one of their signature bowls or make your own, which I like.  They also mix it up with poke burritos and nachos, and have chicken for non-sushi lovers.  I just tried their miso soup and it was excellent, especially this time of year.  Follow their social media sites, you'll see more delicious food and learn they are involved in the community as well!  Great spot to eat. It has taken me 9 months, but I've finally been able to try P.U.P! After such a long wait, I must say, I wasn't disappointed one bit. The special occasion was me finally delivering my son and now I can finally eat the foods that I love that I could not have. Since I am stuck in the hospital still, I was thrilled to also see that I could place my poké order via door dash. Made this new mammas life much easier. I had tuna and salmon in my bowl. I love that this place has free avocado and a list of so many yummy add in's. I tried the house piranha sauce as well as citrus ponzu. They were both very good. However, I might ask for more sauce next time (I like my bowls a little saucier). Regardless, I am very much looking forward to visiting in the future in person and am very anxious to have a sushi burrito! More...

I love Poké! This is definitely the place to go for fresh, delicious fish! The staff was very friendly and we luckily got there before college lunch rush- gets really packed! Delicious fast casual poke. Atmosphere is nothing special, and the nonstop reggae playing on the speakers got a bit old after a while, but the food was more than worth it.

So different and so good! I had never tried poké before and I'm so glad this was the first place I tried. Their main combinations all sounded amazing which made it hard to choose which one to try. They have several options of meats, veggies, etc. to put in your bowl. These People are very attentive and i am adjusting my rating to a 5 start because of that. I believe an individual star rating system doesn't allow for caveats during the visit. I would rate this a 4.75 because I went specifically for the clam chowder Bowl of which i called about ahead of time and they were out of it and instead claimed to have a clam and fish chowder. So while I was ordering my California Invasion poke they took down the sign but did not put up a sign for the fish chowder. This was my first time and the Poke was good and actually a little bit better than expected but I still missed out on the chowder. This is only offered in the downtown store so I can't go to the other store to get one. I work downtown and don’t have a way to leave the store for lunch and Paddles up Poké have been so great to take my order and deliver to me a couple of blocks away personally. They are so helpful and friendly on the phone. On my first order by phone the owner Dan helped me through the order process and the best meal for me. I got the paddles up poke bowl and I am kinda disappointed. First the rice was cooked with too much water so it became mushy instead of grains. Second they served the poke on the rice while it was probably still steaming so the ahi on the bottom was cooked. Third the quality of fish they used just wasn't good it was stringy and I got 4 scales in my food so the fish wasn't even properly cleaned. For the $11 price tag it was not at all worth it. The sauce was good and the garnishes were fine but it's a very small portion of low quality fish. This is the first poke place I've tried in Idaho so maybe I'm just being harsh but this isn't what I expected. *EDIT*Okay I do want to say that the owner reached out to me very quickly and he is very dedicated to his business and told me he had just hired new staff and the hot rice and such was just a fluke. I can definitely see that from all the other reviews that this place is usually a hit amongst the people who live here. The owner Dan was super generous and said he'd make sure that this doesn't happen again. I don't want my review to turn people away from this place because the owner is super kind and reassured me that the fish is brought in fresh everyday. I do look forward to trying it again hopefully it's a better experience next time. More...

This place is incredible!We usually order the Bogus Basin although everything is delicious. the Bogus Basin has "Tuna, salmon, crab, piranha sauce, avocado, seaweed salad, cucumber, ginger, onions, crispy onions, unagi sauce, spicy aioli, green onions, masago, and sesame seeds. "The fish is so fresh, flavorful, and tender it melts in your mouth. We get zucchini noodles instead of rice which is a delicious and healthier option. The cucumber adds a fresh flavor and crunchy texture that sends it over the top. I have been to Poke places where they cut everything way too big but that is not the case here. Everything is cut to the perfect bite size and it's still easy to eat with chopsticks.I want to move to Boise just so I can eat at Paddles Up Poke more than just a few times a year! More...
