I cannot recommend these guys enough! For the past few years I have been attending a Rotary event in December and each time I am blown away by the food. This year they had prime rib as the main entree and it just melted in my mouth! My husband even went back for second. The jus that they served with it was salty but the good kind of salty. Their garlic mashed potatoes were equally delicious and the asparagus was cooked perfectly, not mushy at all. There were a few other side dishes they had that I skipped on but everyone at our table said the dishes were very good. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, taking away dishes as soon as we were finished. These guys will be first on my list of places to call when I have an event in the future. More...

We had our wedding reception catered by Pacific Northwest Catering this summer and can't recommend them highly enough. We wanted to do heavy hors d'ouevres and were impressed from the start with the options and responsiveness of the company. Scheduling a tasting was easy in their quirky little restaurant, and they continued the pattern of excellent responsiveness and customer service after we booked them.To be completely honest, we weren't crazy about the food at the tasting, but we were really impressed how how all-inclusive they were, with respect to what they would do for the price, and the customer service. We made some changes to the menu, post-tasting, and figured we were paying for the service - anyway, who expects wedding food (on a reasonable budget) to be outrageously good? The day of the wedding was so smooth, and the servers were seamless in doing their jobs. They handled the buffet line beautifully and were willing to cut the cakes up for all the guests (even though they did not supply the dessert). They did an absolute rockstar job. But here's the kicker: the food was amazing. We loved what we ate (my husband promptly charged off for seconds), and we got a ton of comments from guests about how good it was and wanting to know who had catered. My best guess is the menu we had picked for the tasting just wasn't right for us (our bad; not theirs!!), and when we made changes, it made all the difference. Our particular highlights (because everything was delicious): the lime chipotle steak skewers (WOW), the deviled eggs, the hot artichoke dip, and the crab-stuffed mushrooms. Our vegetarian guests loved the Vietnamese spring rolls with Thai peanut hoisin sauce.Prices were absolutely reasonable for what you get, food was EXCELLENT, and the customer service both before and during the event was phenomenal. A special shout-out to the day-of crew: their hustle during the event (especially in a quirky church basement setting) was amazing. Definitely recommend this catering company. More...

We used Pacific Northwest Catering for an in-home party and I was very pleased.  Even though this was not a big order, Al was happy to provide a tasting of the items we were contemplating, something I didn't really expect and that other caterers understandably won't do for such a small group (25).  The food was very good and Al was very accommodating.   We had an assortment of appetizers and he delivered everything right on time, gave me instructions on how to finish cooking/heating the hot items as needed for serving, and was very flexible about coming back sometime after the party to pick up their pans, since we are not too far from their location. PNW Catering was one of many caterers we met with, but the only catering we needed to taste. Their food was fresh, tasteful and everything we wanted. Looking back on our wedding day, they did everything right. They created the exact place settings I envisioned, they set aside appetizers for my husband and I to eat during the cocktail hour, always made sure my drink was full and saved us "to-go" boxes for a late night snack and dessert after we left the reception. I don't have a single quip about our experience with them. Catering is one of the biggest wedding factors and they made everything seamless. More...

I have worked with Matt MaKay for over 12 years. He has catered events ranging from business Christmas parties, our daughter's bridal shower last spring, to boat dinner parties. He was especially compassionate and wonderful when he catered our reception after my Father's funeral service. I have had everything from sit down formal dinners to buffets. He has provided the flowers, decor, themes and wonderful food deliciously prepared and decoratively presented. His meals are varied, and he manages to accommodate many allergies and preferences. So, Matt is first rate, and my preferred caterer for all of my events. More...

Pacific Northwest Catering was absolutely amazing! They catered both our rehearsal dinner and our wedding reception and I'd use them again for absolutely any event: formal, informal, business, anything. They were one of my favorite vendors to work with throughout the entire planning process. Al was just incredibly helpful and patient as we planned our menu, letting us taste many, many different items at several different visits and suggesting things we'd forgotten or never considered but definitely wanted. Al was totally responsive to all our questions and very, very accommodating to our schedules, needs, budgets, tastes, helping plan out those small little logistics to the events that you just can't anticipate, just everything you could think of. PNW Catering definitely went above and beyond even my highest expectations. Chef Matt did an beautiful job with the food for both our events. Absolutely delicious. Tons of compliments from lots of fancy foodie guest. Everything was perfectly prepared and presented (much better than I'd seen at most other caterers during tastings), fresh (they even grilled marinated chicken and steak right on site at the wedding), and tasty. Servers was super nice, on top of everyone's drinks and dishes, but not pushy. Very very friendly. I liked these guys and gals so much it was just like they were guests at the wedding (just working and doing a bang up job at it).

Long story short, these guys are the best. 5 stars. 10 outta 10. A+. Matt and Al are awesome dudes and will take care of everything.

Use these guys and you won't be disappointed.

I enjoyed a tasting at their restaurant a couple months ago and really loved many qualities about the food and service. Scheduling was very easy and Al got back to my fiancé and I right away with a quote. The quote was very reasonable and competitive with other caterers. Al was always super polite and prompt in all his emails. Upon arriving at the restaurant they seated me and offered me some coffee. One of the chefs came out and sat with me to review our estimate and menu. There had been some confusion and the menu items weren't correct, but that can happen through email. They were great about getting things together for me to sample. Their gluten free chicken was really delicious and I also enjoyed several of the other items I tried. Ultimately we chose to go with a caterer who was also able to supply us with all the gf cupcakes for our guests which simplifies our lives, but I would definitely suggest checking these guys out if you're looking for a company to cater your wedding or other event! We are so glad we chose Pacific Northwest Catering to cater our afternoon wedding. After a thorough search, I decided on PNW Catering because it was less expensive than the competition and rated well. They also rent items like linens, cake tables, plates, silverware, etc. for an additional cost.

Since our reception was in the middle of the afternoon, we went with appetizer platters. It took a while to set a date for our tasting appointment because our schedules didn't line up for a few weeks, but when we finally tasted some of our chosen platter items, we were set.

They also increased their prices between our initial quote and our tasting appointment, but they honored the original price. We were so thankful for that! Our wedding guests loved the food and the server we hired was very helpful.

They are extremely busy so sometimes it might take a while to respond. I found that sending a follow-up email was helpful. Highly recommend!

Pacific Northwest Catering was a good choice for our wedding. They were one of the recommended vendors for my venue, and their food was awesome. They were sometimes frustratingly slow to respond to emails (I had to resend a few emails a week later and tagged as high importance before getting a response). They were able to accommodate the dietary needs of my guests (gluten free and vegetarian) in a way that was delicious, and they were super willing to make changes to the menu to suit us. We did have a miscommunication with the menu that was ultimately resolved, but frustrating at the time. But overall I was happy with the service, and would recommend them to others. More...

I found PNW Catering through a web search looking for wedding vendors. We were looking for a simple, backyard BBQ style menu with macaroni and cheese as an option, so we arrange a tasting through Matt. From the tasting on, I have nothing but good things to say about this company. They were so genuine and helpful with questions, taking notes about what we did and didn't like about each food item before we had even booked with them. It was an easy choice! The cherry on top, though, was when my cake vendor backed out the week before the wedding I emailed PNW catering in a panic to see if they had any recommendations and they were able to add on a dessert bar to our existing catering order at very little extra cost! It made a hugely stressful situation SO much more pleasant. The food was excellent, the desserts were beautifully arranged, and the staff was professional and welcoming throughout the day. I would definitely recommend their services! More...

We cannot say enough good things about Pacific Northwest Catering.

Highlights: Flexible menu options--we substituted and added menu items based on picky members and food allergies. Great value--didn't spend a fortune, but still got great food. DELICIOUS food--it passed my foodie husband's discerning tastes. Professionalism--Matt met us at the venue ahead of time and did a walk through and helped us with our layout (we had our ceremony and reception in the same room with little "down" time in between). Aesthetics--we opted for a buffet and the food was beautifully displayed with the tables decorated very nicely. Customer service--we were able to get our table linens the day before so that our room set-up team could get those on the tables with the centerpieces first thing in the morning.

The ONLY less-than-positive: somehow our count was off and we didn't have enough napkins for us. I don't know where the break-down in communication was on that. My family rectified it with a quick trip to a store.

Pacific Northwest Catering was an incredible find. Chef Matt is honest, organized, very accessible by email and phone, and made some amazing food for our wedding. I didn't have to worry about anything on the day of the wedding; Pacific Northwest Catering showed up, unpacked, set-up, served food, cake, alcohol, and cleaned up and took care of everything for us. It was wonderful! The best part about PNC is their upfront approach to money - Chef Matt made sure to lay out all the costs involved in the catering, and included tax, gratuity, rentals, and every other little detail in the bill - so the initial quote is exactly what we ended up paying. These guys were awesome ! Fast email or phone response with great personalities. They were priced competitively, but more importantly they were upfront about all costs. Unlike alot of caterers we interviewed who had a low per person price to get you interested only to find lots of "fine print" costs that added up to much more than we paid PNC. The servers and bartender provided were fun to work with and professional. The food received high marks from all our friends and family (yummy!) - and they even boxed up a little "doggie bag" for us to take back to the hotel. A nice touch to top off a great evening !
