We came to Lubbock for business and decided to view the prairie dog town. While there our car was broken into and our purses stolen with all our valuables. The hotel staff and manager were extremely empathetic to our situation and treated us so well, provided all our needs and made sure we were taken care of. We have been to the Overton several times for business conferences and never been disappointed. This night, we decided to get a room for date night. The hotel restaurant and bar were great. The room could have been a little cleaner. There were candy wrappers on the floor under the desk and hair in the bathtub. The marble counters in the bathroom had soap scum on them, and the ones in the main part of the room were stained also. We happened to catch the room on sale, but I don’t think it is big enough nor nice enough to justify the normally $230 price tag. We have stayed in nicer rooms for less.
