BEWARE!

BEWARE!! My bookkeeper spoke with Donna on Sept. 18th and was given an estimate of $450 for an assessment. When I, the shop owner, spoke with Donna she quoted me $650 for the assessment. That was red flag #1. On September 19th she sent over a DocuSign document at 12:55pm prior to our zoom meeting at 1:30. She said it was required before the meeting. I understood that I was not to be charged for any services until we submitted our information to them for the assessment. After the zoom meeting...I just didn't have a good feeling. I could see Donna on the Zoom call but not Osita who would have been the one to do the assessment for $650.00 (Red Flag #2 chose not to be seen in the zoom call). Note, that price does not include the actual migration which when I asked him how much that would cost he gave me a range from &750-$3000 that was red flag #3!!!! I've only been open for 6 months and our prior bookkeeper used qb desktop and we needed help migrating the information to qb online for the new bookkeeper. I became suspicious with such a large range in pricing, not to mention my gut kept telling me not to move forward! After the 30 minute zoom call, I decided I was not going to move forward with the company and on Sept. 20th at 8:34am decided to respond to his email requesting files and I cancelled moving forward with their services. Imagine my SURPRISE when I decided to check (gut feeling) my American Express card and find that I was charged $666.25 on Sept. 19th the day of our 30minute zoom consultation! They charged me THE DAY OF THE CALL!!! According to the DocuSign I have a full 24 hours to cancel with written notice. I complied with that by sending an email directly to them both canceling services. No services were ever rendered by this company and still they charged me! I called the number on my American Express card for the company and it went straight to voicemail. I then called the number Donna had used to call me several times prior to our meeting that was captured on my cell phone and...of course....it went straight to voice mail! American Express is blocking the charges and doing an investigation on my behalf. I have emailed Donna and Osita requesting a full refund and letting them know that I did not appreciate being charged the full amount before any files were exchanged for services never rendered! STAY AWAY!!!! More...

They charged me $450 which I was told would be for helping me sort out how to fix my issues. It ended up being for them to tell me what my issues are. I already knew all my issues!!!!! I just needed some assistance fixing them. Now they want to charge me more money for that. What a scam!!! More...

Place is a joke, try call there support number anytime.. you will get a voice mail, but open chat and put your number in and have a simple question? Prepare to be bombarded with calls from a manger, supervisors, etc to blow you up, but as soon as as your setup and run into an issue. BACK TO VOICEMAILS. You're better off making your own sever from a goodwill computer, it'd work cleaner, and you'd have more support lol. More...

Revel has been a great point of sale system for my company. The lack of customer service from the major POS providers made us search out a new option and we discovered Revel. While there was some growing pains they are always available to help fix them and actually listen to us and make improvements to their system to fit our needs with every new app release. It is user friendly, especially the back end. I can change prices or add items from anywhere as long as I have web access. It has made things really for our management team. More...

The technical support has really improved and is very helpful with all my requests and questions. They also follow up promptly to ensure the queries have been successfully resolved and continue to be so. Working at Revel Systems was a great experience. From being the first person in NYC to running the office over the last 2 years. The culture that we bred was one of high energy, high demand for success, but fun. Everyone had each others's backs, helped each other out, and most importantly wanted to go and succeed above and beyond their responsibilities and individual goals. The people that I managed and worked along side across the company was so enjoyable. Additionally the actual product that we offered was amazing. I definitely enjoyed working at Revel and the people that I worked with. I do believe that processes need to be reviewed and making sure employees are coached to know the escalating consequence for their actions. I also believe that there should be a more streamlined way to advance within the company. Overall it was a great place to work and I believe as the company grows they will address changes they need to make. Revel has been a great company to be a part of over these past couple of years. Getting to be a part of this global growth has been fascinating and you really get to understand and appreciate all that it takes to make a company tick every day. Everyone who works here, works here because they want to. The culture is infectious not only here in our SF Headquarters, but within every other one of our 10 offices both here in the states and overseas.I really enjoy the transparency from upper management and where they are taking the organization. There is a lot of hard work that goes into making this company run and it starts with our management team. They do a great job leading by example and I think that is very important. As with any company, you experience ups and downs. However, we do a great job rebounding over hurdles that come up. I think this makes the company even strong and helps us put in the infrastructure necessary to continue to grow both domestically and internationally.
