I’d like to post a review for Our Kind Kitchen in Wauconda. My mother-in-laws 60th birthday is today and at the last minute I was told we were going to have her birthday dinner at my house. My mother-in-law was diagnosed (after years of battling symptoms) with Celiac Disease, so she can’t have any gluten, so fast forward to myself in the “Gluten free” section at Mariano’s trying to decide if I can bake a gluten free cake correctly or not, suddenly I remembered seeing a FB post for a local gluten free bakery. I called and asked if they had any cakes available, I thought they were a retail store but they let me know they usually take orders online with a day or 2 notice but they told me they had a few cheesecakes available and they would meet me if I’d like to purchase them, which I absolutely did! They didn’t have to take time out of their Sunday to meet a new customer, but they did and they were very gracious and friendly. We just finished singing happy birthday and all 3 cheesecakes were eaten within minutes!!! I’m always a little skeptical when you see gluten free, soy free, & dairy free.... but they were DELICIOUS!!!! If your looking to try a new local bakery please give Our Kind Kitchen a try.. it’s definitely worth it!!!! More...
