Laughter. I am not exactly skilled at any of this fitness business, and Matt does a good job demonstrating over and over to help me get a clue about what I am supposed to be doing. And he lets me laugh at myself while I am learning. It’s supposed to get easier with practice. Ha! More...

Matt brings the custom experience to your fitness level and your desired gains (or losses). He takes the time to understand what your goals are and helps you attack them through both fitness and nutrition. Matt is very knowledgeable, supportive, patient, and genuinely engaged in providing the best workout and guidance. So happy to have Matt on my side, rooting me every step of the way! Matt has been super thorough with my training. He knows exactly what to work on for my weight loss goal and his meal plans have been helping a ton. We target areas that help me see the benefit quickly so I can actually see the change in my body. Following his workouts and regiments has me dropping weight at a great pace while making my body stronger than before. He knows exactly when to ease me into workouts but doesn’t let me slouch. I met Matt after the New Year. I’d lost a little weight, muscle mass and needed to get back on track. We met twice a week for two months until interrupted by the Coronavirus. Gotta say - big improvements in flexibility, strength... Matt is very easy to work with - just the right amount of “push” And I was really pleased that he mixed up the routines from session to session... Optimal Fitness is great! Matt is by far the best trainer I have ever used. He works hard for his clients to help them exceed their goals. His classes are challenging and he is a great motivator. One of the things that I like the most about Matt is that you will really trust his knowledge and will never worry about being pressured into buy more sessions. Matt honestly wants his clients to succeed and he will push you to do things you didn’t believe were possible. I wanted to take a moment and write a review of Matt Quigley and Optimal Fitness. I am not a person who typically writes a review, but nowadays, I feel that people make some of their decisions based off of other peoples reviews. I know that before I joined Tewksbury Sports Club and signed up for personal training classes with Matt, I did look at the reviews and I did speak with other members of TSC that have worked out with Matt. What I got was, Matt is an awesome trainer and a great person. In September I met with Matt and made the decision that I wanted to work out with him. I have now been working out with Matt for 2 months and am down approximately 10 pounds and feeling healthier. Matt is an exceptional trainer!! He is always positive. He explains the exercises you are doing, and why you are doing them. After reading other members reviews, I can see why Matt is highly respected and liked. He is good at what he does, he is a great person, and he genuinely cares and wants to see you succeed!. If I was asked on a scale of 1 to 10 how would I rate Matt, I would say 20!!! More...

I have been working out for many years that always included using gym equipment, taking classes including spinning and running. I am one to say, I've tried it all! Matt is a great trainer. Every time I say "I can't do that" he simply says "Yes you can" And I find out he is right! He pushes me and takes no excuses. His Burn groups are fun but yet challenging. He is always switching it up and finding new workouts so you never get bored. The people in the Burn group are simply great! The Burn Groups are full of fun, laughs, support and encouragement. Don’t waste your time or money. Mr. Quigley is a poor trainer. Not only does he fail to correct clients’ form, he himself is out of shape and fails to practice what he preaches. Look elsewhere.

Matt is a great personal trainer! He doesn't give up on you even when you have given up on yourself. He knows our struggles and works with everyone and their individual needs. He expects hard work and once you begin working with him, you'll want to give it every bit you have (even when he says "one more" and you think you can't do it....you will!)
