Abbey is amazing! She is so kind and patient. I'm not an experienced singer AT ALL and she made me feel so comfortable as we got down to the basics. My son had a great time training with Abbie for a super last minute theatrical audition. He had to be able to sing a song for an acting role. After only an hour of coaching he improved so much and sounded great on his self tape audition that was due in a few hours! What do you love most about your job?
Coaching singers inspires me! Unlocking potential, fueling enthusiasm, and helping clients find joy in the process and results of our work together is my passion! I feel that it's such a beautiful way to honor the person in front of me and help them grow in ways that are meaningful and enriching. Not only is each session with my clients a highlight of my day, but I love the transformation that takes place through simple breakthroughs over time. With increased competence comes increased confidence. :-)
The other thing I love most about my job is apex moments. It's what happens when preparation and digging deep come together. I want each of my clients to experience the transporting power and palpable energy of being in the moment with truthfulness and specificity in their singing. The kind of artistry and vulnerability that gives us chills, warms the heart, brings tears to our eyes, and stirs our souls.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Let's just say that I'm a multi-passionate person and SO many of my values and talents converge in this career path! Singing has always been a part of me and mentoring people is something I always knew I wanted to do. I originally had my sights on becoming a choral director, but fell in love with vocal pedagogy along the way and soon became very interested in doing my own thing in the private sector. Once I got some hands-on teaching under my belt, it didn't take me long to see that I was good at this and highly motivated to help my students with a professional and personal touch.

I will hold space for their simple dreams, support them in claiming their important place as a singer in their life, and show them how to strategically create momentum toward those goals that light them up inside!

Absolutely!
Over half of the members in my studio are out-of-state and meet with me in private sessions and for studio events over Zoom. Regularly using apps, shared google docs, and other tools promotes self-reliance in these clients, improving their ability to practice outside of lessons. It also facilitates resourcefulness, organization, and collaboration in our efforts as a whole. I'm a fan!
