What do you love most about your job?
We love helping new and experienced dog owners as they continue to develop their relationships with their dogs. Our favorite moment in training is seeing dog owners become more confident with their ability to train with their pup.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Cody was inspired to start this company after spending a few years working with some of the top trainers here in LA. After a few additional years of independent practice, he decided it was time to give dog trainers and dog owners an opportunity to learn more. One Up Pup is designed to give people the tools needed to succeed in the modernized dog training world.
Why should our clients choose you?
We prioritize teaching at your pace through positive reinforcement methods. No one likes being bombarded with too much information at once. The key to success is consistency and having a clear understanding of each exercise. We may hold the title of “Dog Trainer” but our real job is to train the owners. With the pet parent’s understanding, we will be able to achieve the long lasting results we want. Strictly using positive reinforcement methods will result in a healthy, safe, and effective environment for dogs to learn. Clients will also develop a fun loving, nurturing, and trustworthy bond with their dogs.

Services are provided virtually. We offer virtual coaching sessions at a 20% discount. In-person training will provide faster results since we will have hands on work with your dog, but virtual coaching has also proven to be effective.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
If anyone feels unsafe to work in-person, we do offer virtual coaching at a 20% discount. Hygiene is incredibly important for in-person work. Washing hands before and after each session, and wearing a mask is always an option.

Private In-Home Lesson: $150
(90 Minutes) Focus on our essentials for basic training and behavior modification for any age and breed. Develop your pup’s skills with easy to follow exercises today!
3 Private In-Home Lessons: $375
Develop your pup’s basic communication skills and focus on improving their behavior with multiple lessons. Get better results at a lower price!
7 Private In-Home Lessons: $900
Begin your journey to a happy healthy lifestyle with our graduation program. Get the best results for your pup’s basic obedience and behavioral modification.
Day Board and Train: $175/Work Day
(6 Hours) Busy at work? Have a day full of errands to run? Is no one else home to train and take care of your pup? We got you covered! Work on their basic communication and behavioral skills in your trainer’s home. Apply today to see if you qualify.
Overnight Board and Train: $200/Full Day
(24 Hours) Want an immersive training experience for your pup? Then apply for our overnight program! Focus on mastering their basic communication and behavioral issues in your trainer’s home. Fill out an application to see if you and your pup qualify.
Day Private Board and Train: $200/Work Day
(6 Hours) Hire a trainer to care for and train your pup in your home. We recommend this service to those who are too busy during the day to give their pups the attention and care they need. Training in your pup’s day to day environment delivers faster results.
Overnight Private Board and Train: $250/Full Day
(24 Hours) Going away for a while and can’t bring your pup? Hire a trainer to stay in your home overnight. Your pup will receive intensive training every day as well as maintain their daily routine. That way you can enjoy your trip knowing your pup is in safe hands.
Day Boarding: $100/Work Day
(6 Hours) Need someone to keep an eye on your pup while your away? We’re here to help! Drop off your pup at our caretaker’s home. We will make sure your pup gets all the play time, treats, and cuddles they deserve; and send you frequent picture and video updates.
Overnight Boarding: $150/Full Day
(24 Hours) Hire a professional caregiver to watch over your pup for the night. Leave your pup with one of our caregivers, where we will prioritize your pup’s daily routine and well being. Enjoy your time away knowing that your pup is safe and sound.
Day Private Boarding: $150/Work Day
(6 Hours) Give your pup the best puppy sitter they ever had! One of our caretakers will watch over your pup in your own home. We take care of your pup as if they were our own.
Overnight Private Boarding: $200/Full Day
(24 Hours) Hire one of our caregivers to keep a close eye on your pup overnight. We will maintain your pup’s daily routine as well as shower them with cuddles and treats.
