Communications with One Hour Pest control about our roach issue was easy and quick. I called, they asked me to send an email with my address, and when I asked some questions in the email, they called me back within 5 minutes to answer my questions. The exterminator got here exactly when we agreed. I was not home when the gentleman came but my husband said he was friendly and professional. He closed up holes,  and got behind things that we had not moved in quite a while (like the dishwasher).The gentleman even went through all of my cabinets and found that we had lots of beetles... we had NO idea. He got rid of them. The next morning, I picked up quite a few dead roaches and am still picking them up. .. so it's working.  I will definitely use them again if the roaches re-appear (which I am sure they will because I live in NYC) and there is a loyalty price for using their service even a year after the first treatment. Frank was a life-saver! We discovered we had mice in our front closet (folks, put dog food in a sealed container!) and Frank came over that night to help. He cleaned out the closet, laid multiple traps, and closed up some holes he found in our old place. Frank came back a few days later to install a door sweep (so important!!) and inspect the rest of our apartment. Living in a building that's over 100 years old, sometimes you're gonna encounter a critter or two. When that happens, you gotta call Frank at One Hour Pest Control. I never write Yelp reviews, but I had to for this.I've been living in this same apartment for almost three years and have never had an issue with bugs, pests, rodents, NADA. All of a sudden a few months ago my roommate spotted a mouse in the kitchen and its been super stressful since then. We bought the traps, bleached, cleaned, we have TWO cats (who are cute but useless), and our landlord just told us he'd never seen a mouse in the twenty years he's been here (probably a lie to be honest).I researched online for a little bit and called OHPC at around 10pm on a Sunday night and Ray answered immediately. Gave me a fair quote and said he would be around whenever to come by if need be. I'm so upset I didn't call him sooner or when we initially saw the mouse because I have never felt more at ease and educated than after this visit!Ray was a total delight. Showed up on time, got right down to business, told us where and how they enter the house, patched any and all holes, sprayed, put down poison, set traps, etc. He was here for a little over an hour inspecting every inch of the apartment and told us what to keep an eye out for and why/how this happens (we are from Florida and have never had to deal with mice before!). I called this company back in August when I noticed the start of a roach problem(the first time in 20 years). The stellar reviews prompted me to give them a try and I was not at all disappointed. My call was answered by Frank in a very friendly and courteous manner and after giving a description of my issue and the size of my home, I was given a run down of pricing and what the service would entail. When Frank, the technician, arrived on appointment day, he couldn't have been nicer. He walked me through what he was doing as he went through the house and was very thorough. He told me I would see in increase in dead visible critters after the first week, week and a half, but then not. That's exactly what occurred. The difference is night and day. It's been over a month and I just finished with the follow up appointment for maintenance purposes. Frank come back again and was very nice and diligent as expected. Amazing, Incredible Five Star Service! Look no further, these guys are, hands down, the best! Last night I spotted a small mouse in my apartment. I called first thing this morning and Frank got back to me right away. Within 1 hour, I had two guys here, who were the friendliest and sweetest guys ever! They were so reassuring that they would find the point of entry for me. I can not say enough great things about this place...I called on Labor day and they were able to send oner a technician the same day! !! Frank the dispatcher is very nice and quickly responds to your calls and my exterminator Frank (a different Frank) was unbelievable...He went above and beyond the call of service...making sure he did not miss any spot in the house...He saw my daughter was panicked over the roaches and was so sweet and funny and calming...He never tried to upset me or sell me anything!!! Called this company at 4am on Sunday morning when I was awoken by the sound (and then sight) of a huge rodent in my bedroom. To say I was freaked out would be an understatement. After having had three visits by another very highly reviewed exterminator in NYC I could not believe my rodent problem was still present and this time much bigger!  Frank was immediately responsive, calming, and had someone at my house by 9am as promised.  That person spent two plus hours finding entry points the other exterminators did not patch up (after 3 visits over 8 months!) and also made sure no rodents were in the house. He was in every corner, every closet, on the floor in the kitchen, etc.  It's only two days later and we'll see if they have successfully sealed out the rodents. But I certainly feel like they were responsive and thorough. And if the reviews are to be believed, I am hopeful they were also effective. More...

The BEST!!!!! Here's why:I live in an apartment & I rent. My neighbors above me had a faulty pipe in the kitchen which eventually burst. This caused water damage to my kitchen cabinets which had to be changed for new ones. When the cabinets were changed, there were cracks around baseboard. This let the mice in! Well I'm afraid of em! I've been here 10+ years.. never had em! So I bought some name brand stuff. Didn't work! Called landlord who sent exterminator. Didn't work! Soo.. I called 1 hour pest control late Friday night. The gentleman I spoke with on the phone Mr. F was great! He assured me he could help! And he did! He set me up with Mr. D. whom was at my place 1st thing Saturday morning. Mr. D was on his hands & knees searching everywhere and everything! He set up all the goods to get those ! And he explained everything to me. He told me to keep a look out, call if I needed to & he'd be back in a week for a follow up! Well... over the w.eek I did a real good ol Spring cleaning & kept a look out! Caught 2 fast!! Ive used them twice now and can't recommend them enough! I have been in my apartment for 7.5yrs with no mice or roach issues and had both come up weeks apart.  I called them first for the mouse issue, a door sweep was put on my front apartment door (which had about a one inch gap) and steel wool put in some holes.  Traps were set but thankfully nothing was caught because the mouse had been sealed out (thank god!!). A few weeks later I had a roach and I'm not one to sit on anything or handle what is clearly in need of a professional because if you see one there has to be more elsewhere you dont see.  The same technician who came to take care of the mouse came to take care of this and he was fantastic.  Its worth the money to have peace of mind knowing its been taken care of.  As I told my technician Darryl, not all heroes wear capes haha I can now sleep again thanks to him! Highly recommend these guys to anyone who is experiencing issues. We couldn't have asked for better service. We had an issue with mice in our kitchen. Not only was our call treated with high importance (at 4:00am!), but the tech came in even earlier then expected when he found out we had an infant in our apartment. He was very empathetic and was very quick to find the problems and set traps. He left the apartment, but rushed back once we let him know we found a mouse. I highly recommend these guys. My tech arrived 45 min after my frantic call about a mouse that slipped under my front door and was running around my apartment. I was literally screaming while we were on the phone. The tech filled 10 holes and cracks, set the sticky traps (and explained why the snap traps are bad - it breaks the skin and releases bacteria into the air we breathe). Probably due to the extreme cold, we suddenly had an influx of mice under the sink in our 2nd floor Manhattan apartment on a Friday.  I used traps and got too many of them for it to wait until Monday, so called One Hour Pest Control, because i found them online as 24-hour emergency pest control.  They answered the phone immediately, and within an hour and a half, i had a guy at the apartment.  He did a very thorough inspection, helped me move the refrigerator, stove, and counters to find the hole where the mice were getting in, used steel wool and blocked up any places they may have come in, and left bait and traps.  I was most disconcerted to hear sounds that night, so put another trap out, and got the last of them, but more importantly, they were immediately responsive when i emailed to let them know there were more, and offered to honor their 30-day guarantee if the problem persisted.  There have been no more since, and we have a free follow-up visit to refresh the bait and traps scheduled for the end of the month.  It's a bit pricier than alternatives, but worth it if you have a real problem. This review is about the spectacular service I received from One Hour Pest Control in getting rid of a grain beetle problem.  My husband and I saw these little fruit fly looking things around our kitchen on and off for a couple weeks.  We didn't think anything of it until Sunday night (Oct 22, 2017), when the population seemed to be doubling and tripling seemingly out of no where.  Our building exterminator isn't trustworthy, and many times doesn't show up when they are supposed to, so I found One Hour Pest Control on Yelp while trying to investigate alternatives.CommunicationAt 10:30pm I texted (you read that right, texted!) their number they list for texting.  Frank responded to my text within a minute after I sent it.  I sent him a few photos of the bugs and we got on the phone and he told me what they were, gave me a real quote, and said he could send a technician out WITHIN THE HOUR.  I was floored.  Living in NYC, when you encounter any kind of pest problem, the first thing you think of is, "how long am I going to have to live with this before I can get it taken care of?"  So the very speedy response, and the capability to send someone within a hour on a Sunday night after 10:30pm was such a relief.  Not to mention, the quote was very reasonable, and Frank isn't a pushy sales guy.TechnicianRay, my technician, showed up exactly on time at 11:30pm (on a Sunday night!).  He was very professional, and did a good job communicating about the source of the issue, what he was going to do, and confirmed the bugs were grain beetles.  Ray vacuumed up all the living and dead beetles from our walls, by baseboards, and behind our oven in the kitchen.  He also helped us throw away the items in the pantry that the grain beetles were coming from.  Then he treated our apartment to make sure the beetles wouldn't come back.  His attention to detail was much appreciated.  5 Star ServiceWhat a relief it is to have that problem solved so quickly.  No stressing over how many more will multiply before we can get an exterminator to identify and solve the issue.  Everything else in my life I would have to make an appointment a week out and stay home from work and wait for someone.  I've had Seamless food orders that have taken longer than the amount of time it took to get a technician over to my apartment.  I was mentally prepared for my pest problem to become a whole ordeal, and I was able to solve it in one night by just texting Frank.  Ray was obviously very knowledgable, experienced, and trustworthy, so talking to him and watching him work, I knew everything would be fine once everything was over.  Frankly, I'm still amazed I got such thorough service on a Sunday night in such a short period of time.  These guys are saints. Frank and Darryl were phenomenal. I called first thing this morning after seeing a new mouse in my apartment (I just killed one last night) and needed same day assistance. I found them on Yelp based on other awesome reviews and called directly instead of filling out a quote form. Within 5 minutes, I had a confirmed appointment for 3pm today. I was sent an email confirmation within minutes. When I then found that the new mouse had climbed into the sink, I trapped him under a bucket. I immediately called Frank to see if someone could come even earlier and I think he moved mountains to have someone come within the hour - and still making sure that the best guy was on the job. When Darryl arrived he went straight to work and was incredibly thorough. I gave a *lot* of detail about the other mice I had found and killed last year, and the cat that used to live here who likely kept new ones at bay. I have no idea if any of that info was helpful to him, but he never belittled me and rather just listened intently addressing each point as I made it. We discussed how these very little mice are likely babies and the traps I had set up weren't effective because they are too tiny to be caught. I hate the idea of glue traps, but there's nothing else to be done with these size ones. In terms of service, he worked through the apartment (a 2 bedroom, one bath) within an hour and closed up three holes, left bait behind the fridge where they likely enjoy hiding, put up two box traps, two snap traps, and two sticky traps. He assured me to reach back out if I had any further issues, but that he expected everything to be fine from now on. I am *so* grateful to my friends at One Hour Pest Control. I am so big on customer service and being in management I appreciate the service that consumers (of any given business) are given by companies. With that being said, as sensitive as "having bed bugs" is or might be, the service provided to someone that thinks they might possibly have them requires you to be sensitive and understanding. I am a low-key hypochondriac and I thought I had found a bed bug in 2 different instances. I called frantic once at 10pm and FRANK saved my life (felt like cause I swear by blood pressure shot up and I was shaking borderline about to have a heart attack). Had nobody responded at 10pm, I probably would've spent the entire night up or booked a hotel to spend the night in. Immediately after I sent him pictures Frank told me it was NOT bedbugs. He was so nice about it and the relief I felt hearing him reassure me was just priceless. He could've just said yes or that they had to inspect and gotten some money out of me, but no. Integrity is so important when dealing with someone you're going to give your money to, and thanks to Frank, this is a company I won't mind ever giving business to! I highly recommend using these guys!! We had a rat in our apartment and our landlord was no help so we had to find someone on our own. We did a search for 24 pest control as it was already well after business hours and they answered the phone right away!  Music to my ears!! I was told someone would be at my place within the hour and they sure were.  The three men that came to help were so nice, had great communication throughout the process, even getting me to laugh a few times about what was happening which was nice since I had been a ball of stress since the rat presented itself.  They also captured the rat quickly and patched the hole the rat came from.  I will now be able to sleep tonight!
