We bought this house with foundation and floor leveling issues. We called three repairing firms. Only Dylan from Omega Structure did a thorough inspection and gave a professional proposal to replace the problem portion of the foundation and level the floor while at the same time quoted a competitive price. Juan and Pascual did a very decent job from beginning to end. All details were done according to the codes. They even poured concrete footings for new post/pier sets. Please do not be fooled. Dylan Peterson is a fraud. He recently came to my house in Hollywood at the request of potential buyers and wrote a $175k estimate for what he said was a hillside foundation that needed to be completely replaced. I quickly called three separate foundation specialists who each returned reports stating no foundation issues.FYI if your house falls out of escrow - the case with me thanks to Dylan Peterson looking for a pay day - you are legally forced to disclose all reports to future buyers. Thankfully I now have three separate structural specialists who are reporting honestly but please, save yourself the headache and do not empower a con-artist. Dylan Peterson also claimed to know a local soils expert, Wayne, who he said had given him reason for extreme concern. Wayne has never been to my house but as it happens, one of my foundation specialists knows Wayne well, who of course has no professional history with Dylan Peterson and denies making such an assessment. His reports have legal outs so I'm writing this review to simply save the next person. Dylan Peterson scares potential clients into hiring him at a hugely marked up rate... and it's sometimes hard to reverse the "dark cloud" of lingering expenses even if found false. More...

I made the mistake of sending a $20,000 deposit for a retaining wall project in my home in early December, before having someone knowledgeable look at the contract. I have since found out that it's illegal, per California Business & Professions code 7159.5 to request more than $1000 in deposit. In addition, the inspector I had review my contract noted a lot of unnecessary work requested in the contract. In addition to this deposit, I sent money to a geotechnical firm for a soils/geotechnical report, which Omega said it needed to draw and submit plans to the city. 2 months after the geotech people came over, I found out that no report was forthcoming because Omega refused to cooperate with them. Since Omega had done no work, I requested a refund. At first they said they would send the refund, but then backpedaled and said they'd done work. Although they'd specifically said they couldn't do anything without the geotech report, I called their bluff and asked them to send whatever work they'd done. Of course, I received no response. So they have so far kept every penny of the $20,000 and not done one bit of work, other than the inspection and estimate for which I payed them separately. I have had part of the work done by another contractor, who agreed that Omega's contract included unnecessary work. As far as I'm concerned, these guys are thieves and scam artists. More...

Thank you so so much to Omega Structural and to our inspector Dylan for honestly saving us from huge financial hardship. I am so so lucky I decided while in escrow to be extra thorough with my inspections and get a foundation inspection despite the general inspector finding "no major foundation concern." Apparently my general inspector had no idea what he was talking about and missed a major issue ($30k minimum to fix) that Dylan caught. Dylan took detailed photos of the issue and provided me with thorough in person explanation, answered my questions and followed up with a detailed report with photos and estimates of cost. I really appreciate is honesty and detailed careful work. Dylan's report allowed us to negotiate with the seller and help us pay to fix the foundation. We hired Omega Structural Inc. to repair our foundation for our home. The job was to create a sister foundation for a preexisting foundation that was decaying. The work was done to code as it passed inspection. The job took quite a long time (approximately 2 months), although that could have been because the city was moving at a slow pace in the month of April and May, 2020 due to Covid. The other two concerns that I have that are currently being fixed by Omega is a hinge came off of the crawl space screen door (minor problem) and an electrical line for the sprinkler system was accidentally cut/damaged from the foundation repair. It was an inconvenience getting the electrical line fixed, but Omega accepted fault and will be compensating for the repair. More...

I had Omega come out and build a retaining wall on my hillside property and while the process did take a while (due to the city moving at a slow pace because of covid19) once the permit was issued, the team got to work and finished my project fast and with no setbacks. We suspected potential foundation issue at our home so we inquired with several structural vendors to provide assessment. The young man from Omega showed up between the hour of the scheduled appointment, demonstrated professional knowledge, responded to my questions with great depth of information, and shared tips for what to monitor . He offered what services were available via Omega Structural without overhanded salesmanship (which we appreciated).
