Man, this food is good. I mean really good, and I am a foodie. Why was the place empty? The west side is really missing the boat here. Nice mojito, skip the fruity mule. Eat the the seafood empenada, you won't be sorry. They had a DJ playing dance music, I could still hear every word my friend said to me. Bingo! Now all I need are Salsa lessons. More...

I FINALLY ate here after I heard the owner Oscar talking with Rose Scott on NPR several months ago, and it was some of the best food I’ve ever eaten in Atlanta. It’s authentic Puerto Rican food. Oscar and his wife own it together but he goes on all the catering events; he cares deeply about the quality of food and experience with it. They cater for big news stations like CNN, have a food truck that he says they don’t get much use of because their catering business took off, but are about to revamp their menu a bit to offer more tapas style dishes. They’re big at night; full bar with a variety of rum offerings, live music and entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights. Dinner offered every day, lunch Friday and Saturday, brunch on Sundays. They’re in Mableton (it’s 40 minutes from my apartment and I live in N. Druid Hills, so it’s a hike), but I have been working near there so I had to stop in. I was overwhelmed with how good it was and how great the hospitality is. Food is fresh, made to order, and reasonably priced.I had the tostones with a side of some delicious sauce (might have just been a mayo-ketchup mix but complemented it very well), and a Tripleta (pork, beef, ham, Swiss, tomato, lettuce) with mofongo instead of bread. Mofongo is “a traditional Puerto Rican favorite made with fried green plantains, garlic, cilantro, bacon, and butter. Can be prepared vegetarian or vegan and is gluten free.” I paid $16 including an Arnold Palmer for what you see here. Half of the Tripleta was EASILY the length of my forearm (I’m not joking) so excellent value for the money. I was able to make 3 meals out of it!Amazing food. Do not miss this place; highly recommend! More...

First time visiting this place. It was recomended to me by a friend, what a great choice it was. We came in around 7 pm on a Saturday not to busy. Fast service we came in sit down order appetizers which they were delicious and then order the main course. Food presentation was great and the taste was amazing. Defenitely if you in the area and want some autenthic Puertorican cuisine come here. More...

Sabores is the kind of place where you can find Puerto Rican soul food morphed into fancy versions of its normal self. You can sit meet interesting folk or have a private moment with your significant other. Be warned a full scale party can erupt at any moment. The owners Oscar and Terri and staff are sweet hearts. You should come for the food then stay for the chill! More...

Loved this place, good atmosphere and great food. I had the chicken dish with rice and beans and a fried egg on top....delicious. Tried the calamari for an appetizer and dining partner had the turkey burger. The turkey burger was flavorful, thick and has a special bun. Fries and chips are all homemade, thin and delicious . Give it a go if you are in for a cultural experience. More...

I absolutely adore this place. The food is fantastic, the drinks are delicious and the atmosphere is cozy. It was my first encounter with Puerto Rican food, but my significant other was born and raised in PR and agrees that the food is amazing and authentic. The owner is always around and talking to customers and you can tell that he is proud of the place and the food they put out. One of my favorite places to eat in the area. More...

I'm from Puerto Rico, and finding about this place made me so happy! We ordered the Surtido to start, I had mofongo and churrasco (skirt steak), husband had mofongo and carne frita (fried pork), and my daughter had grilled chicken with rice and beans (as a side note, my daughter was being fussy about food, but if any staff reads this, know that she ended up eating it when we got home! ), and we had tres leches to finish up. Everything was absolutely delicious. The staff was great too! Can't wait to go back. Feels like a little bit of home this far away from Puerto Rico. More...

Easily one of the best restaurants in Atlanta.Everything thing is prepared from scratch with fresh ingredients.I happened to be in this part of town and Googled my way here expecting a sweaty little strip mall restaurant and sure enough there it was in a strip mall. Once inside it was bustling with customers and super friendly staff. Much to my surprise I was handed a small bistro menu that had one great sounding dish after another. Then I turned my attention to the also small drink menu. The 4 or 5 mixed drinks were enticing and reasonably priced. But the bottom of the menu featured a huge variety of expensive Rums that I have never heard of before. Our waiter politely informed us that since they were so busy that we may want to order an appetizer first since there will be a wait for our main course. So I ordered the Ceviche, a Rum punch and an $18 shot of fancy Rum. The Rum came in a small snifter and was worth every penny. The Ceviche was as good as I have ever had - it was not just delicious - it was plated like a fine restaurant.6 out of 5 stars. More...
