Went to this place as it was somewhat busy, and I ordered the falafel plate. The people there were very nice, and there was water at the side. The seating was either in or outdoor, and we chose a spot outside looking out towards the train tracks. The falafel was great, and the hummus and pita was good too. I would recommend this to anyone who would want Mediterranean food, and they even have a bakery with lots of baked goods. More...

This place feels like a home away from home, in regards to the ambience, interactions with the staff, and taste of the food. I always bring my visiting friends and family here and they all love it. The location is a landmark as it is at the beginning of Castro st where everything starts. Indoor and outdoor seating is great for groups and studying. Your mom would approve of the quality of the food. You don't feel heavy after eating. Everything is prepared slightly healthier than you would expect. I hope you come try it out and enjoy as much as I did. More...

Olympus café and bakery is hands down my most favorite place to visit for excellent coffee and mouthwatering, succulent food. Let's not forget the incredible people that work in this gem of a cafe. From the wait staff to the management, to the chefs, the words, "homey" and "excellent" come to mind. The folks who work at this quaint restaurant are hard-working, friendly and kind. This place has a flair that is so refreshingly unique (I'm sitting here knitting while I wait for my incredible meal) compared to a plethora of places I've patronized. There are no elitist attitudes here. Just down-to-earth, personable, benevolent, smiling workers. Apparently, these folks are very happy where they work which is a reflection of top-notch management. It is also exemplified in the coffee that they serve which is rich and tasty. It shows in the desserts they create which are fabulous and decadent. It is revealed in the healthy, fresh, generously-portioned, reasonably-priced, flavorful food that they serve. Olympus is indeed a one-of-a-kind Mountain View treasure. It is fast-becoming my home away from home, as I am not from California originally. With all of that being said, I want to thank every single person that works here. Some of my very favorites are Nes (an amazing woman who always has a smile for everyone and is a honey), Galeeb (who is always very personable, kind and thoughtful), and Enriqah & Namee (a couple of humble, sweet, young men). Please forgive me for spelling your names wrong which I am sure I have and for not mentioning the rest of you by name, as I have not met all of you personally. Anyway, a huge thank you to all of you for providing me a little refuge away from the insanity of life, from the bar scene, and giving me a place to hang my hat when I'm not at home. I am grateful for the opportunity to purchase your unbelievable Espresso & Turkish coffee, your delectable food, and to bask in the positive, peaceful essence that you have all created here. I feel as though I have been magically transported away from the fast-paced, sometimes seemingly, inhumane world. I wholeheartedly recommend Olympus as a quintessential cafe experience. Oh, and to all of you at Olympus, God bless you. I pray that you continue to prosper as you elevate your patrons to another level of culinary experience on this earth plane. More...
