My procrastination struck again! I found myself with no flowers in hand for my fiancé on Valentine's Day, and Anita G. came to my rescue! I am writing this review because it is so rare to come upon the type of kind and going out of the way customer service I received today. An employee of mine had a death in the family and I wanted to send flowers from the company. Thing was it was 3:20 pm and every florist closes at 5. I called 4 or 5 places and nobody could deliver the same day, earliest was the following day. I didn't want to have them delivered the next day because I knew my employee would probably force herself to come to work and it wouldn't have meant the same. When I called Olson's, the last delivery person had already left for the day. When I explained the situation to the woman on the phone she offered to run the delivery herself after closing on her way home. Who does that? OLSON'S. That's who. I'm sorry to see all of the problems others have had with staff here. I've always been pleased both with the quality of their flowers and arrangements and with their customer service. I've ordered from here a dozen or so times over nearly 10 years. I always use their senator rather than Telaflora's as this keeps all of the money local to Salem. They also know exactly how the bouquets on their website ate to be made and always match then out better.I could not be happier with this florist and today walked past 2 others in 85° heat to order here. The older couple that owns this flower shop are some of the sweetest people I know.  The first time I came in I was happily greeted, I absolutely love the smell of the place, fresh cut flowers everywhere.  At this time I worked right around the corner, so once in a while Gary would stop by and bring us ladies a few fresh cut roses, he would tell us a little about the flower and where it came from and what we thought about it.  I came in a few weeks later and created my own bouquet for a co-worker and they were so helpful, I loved learning about the names of the flowers, if they were perennials or annuals, etc.  One of the best florists to go to if you are looking to get someone something special, and they also have great pricing for weddings.  If you do stop by, bring them an espresso shake from the Beanery next door :) they love those!
