Ordered Chicken Curry which should have been called Chicken Bone & Gristle Curry...owner did nothing and even defended what happened by saying everyone knows we use chicken quarters...save your money.

Great food and service. Large portion sizes, my partner was full (he works out a ton so he has a larger appetite) and I was stuffed (took half to work the next day). The Mac n cheese is seasoned well.

We stopped by today while on vacation from Ohio and we enjoyed our dinner so much. The liver and onion was delicious and tender, the smothered pork chop was out of this world ! Yum ! Yum! Yum! Customer service is great here. The older gentleman server was very hospitable and kind to us. He even asked the cook to let us order breakfast even though it was 5min after end of breakfast. Breakfast is good. BBQ is delicious, ribs were smokey and "fall off the bone" meat was delicious. Mac and cheese was okay, yams were tasty and served in a mashed style. Gotta try the collards next time we come. Pancakes were okay, omelet was a meat lovers and not too much meat. Lots of good cheese though on the omelet. Home fries are home made cut, seasoned and cooked like home. I enjoyed my time here.This is a comfortable place to eat. There were a lot of people who seemed to come in after Church to eat and our server was nice to everyone.I found it nice that the owner graduated from Bethune-Cookman University, an awesome HBCU! I've been on the hunt for great soul food since we moved and Oley's is it. The vibe is what you want, old school pictures on the wall, the same paint job from the 90's , aunties arguing about the menu and a server that sits down to take your order. What I liked: the fried chicken, whiting, greens, yams and Lima beans were all great. Just ok : I wasn't crazy about the cornbread or cabbage. But that's just personal preference. Do not order the Turkey Wings unless you want a bunch of Large, Hugh, Greasy Bones... no meat. I was totally disgusted. No seasoning, just salt and pepper. .. Really! The yams was just boiled sweet potatoes (with a rotten taste). Cornbread, soggy, not cooked thoroughly. Just a waste of money $15+. You must be really hungry to go here and maybe you can live with the taste of the food. You got your last good tip from me. Now let me give you another one... Hire some Good cooks! More...

We wanted a good Southern restaurant with a hint of the Caribbean and this place was perfect! Little bit of a sketchy neighborhood, but you know it is good if a lot of locals are eating there. We tried the Jerk chicken, ribs, and oxtail, everything was great. Ribs had lots ofMeat falling off the bone. Chicken had great flavor- sweet and spicy! Highly disappointed that this business charges you 21.99 for a small oxtail dinner that comes with a choice of two sides and rice and peas would be considered a side. For the price, rice and peas should be included! Mac and cheese is disgusting!!!! More...
