About

Old School Italian is a family owned food truck and catering company. In 2012 we began the redevelopment of Saint Michael's Parochial School in Munhall PA, which originally closed in 1969. The old school was remodeled and transformed, while maintaining the "old school" feel. To keep the "school theme", our shop had all the original chalk boards, floors, doors, etc... it truly was like stepping back into a classroom in the 1960s. It was 2014 that we opened our doors and provided a spot to enjoy authentic Italian cooking, while being surrounded by a whole lot of history!

A food truck was always a dream of ours, so in 2019 we purchased a school bus and had it transformed into our very own food truck! After Covid hit we decided to close the shop to the public and concentrate on our catering and food truck business.

Everything we cook up is homemade, and most recipes are inspired by our Nana, who would often cook down at our shop. If you want to try some of the best homemade Italian dishes, we encourage you to reach out and have us cater your next event!
