Oh Mamma's is a GREAT Italian specialty shop and a real asset to the community. Great cheeses and REAL Italian! I used to drive to Chicago for this quality and variety of Italian food products. Not any more. Thanks!

What an outstanding place! We stumbled upon Oh Mamma’s by accident and were absolutely blown away by the quality of the cheese and cured meat selection but also by the extraordinarily knowledgeable staff. Sometimes a sandwich is just a sandwich, and sometimes it's an experience. This place serves the experience kind and does it in all the best ways possible. The friendly and well-informed young man who served us recommended the 3M+C and we both chose the muffuletta option for the tapenade. Flavor-City!!! He had us laughing while tasting cheese, gave us a couple of stuffed mini-peppers, and totally made it an awesome, and memorable experience. I was happy we had a cooler in the car to keep the other halves of our sandwiches cool. We enjoyed them just as much for dinner late that night at our hotel in Clarion, PA.I prefer shopping at local businesses wherever I am, and this place had me happily handing over the cash, before eating probably the best sandwich ever to grace my palate - well eating half since it was huge! Who knew that South Bend, IN would be home to such an amazing cheese shop and Italian deli. Well worth venturing off the freeway on our California to Connecticut adventure! More...

I came in at 4 pm, not realizing the shop was supposed to close at 4, and the wonderful young man said “no problem” and helped to pick the perfect pairings of cheese for a virtual wine tasting my husband and I had that evening! As soon as you walk in you are hit with the smells of the meats and cheeses; it is a classic Italian Deli. I ordered the Italian sandwich and the tiramisu. The sandwich had good flavor, though it was a bit oily. It certainly was filling. The tiramisu was fairly dry and partially frozen from storage - nothing to write home about. The staff was very friendly and clearly enthusiastic about their craft. I was verbally asked if I wanted to add a tip at the register, which definitely put me on the spot. Just ordered three of their wooden box cheese and meat platters....told them I prefer soft creamy cheeses...$200 later got 3 boxes that was 25% olives and full of hard cheeses. bummer :(
