These guys were great! Very carefully handled all my belongings and were super courteous and quick. My estimate was right in line and they showed up on time. Took apartment my furniture and fixed a broken door on my dresser. Text communication was helpful. My only gripe was not having anything to reference to plan on how to pack my belongings to prepare. This is the third time that we have used Octopus Moving and no surprise, they were fantastic. In the past we've used them to move between apartments in Cambridge and they did so expertly and efficiently. Their price point is always the most competitive compared to other companies. This time we were faced with a long distance move to Maryland- and we were relieved to have had prior experience with this company (have heard so many horror stories about long distance moves). Daniil and Valera arrived promptly and worked expeditiously to move and pack their truck, taking extra care to wrap items in moving blankets (they always have supplies if you don't). After our things were safely packed they headed to Maryland where we met them the next morning to unload. They were prompt, communicative and hard workers. We had to move furniture into a POD in order to repair our hardwood floors from water damage. Octopus sent three guys who were straight up extremely friendly, professional, and detailed. They were very careful with our furniture and made sure to follow whatever needs we had for storage. Tom, the one who helped me on the phone was also VERY quick in responses and explained whatever details I needed to for pricing and planning. We were moving my dad into housing, and many of the movers I contacted were costly. This was hard as he is on a fixed income. I contacted Octopus and got a very reasonable estimate. They showed up on time and completed the move quickly and efficiently. They even took a gigantic couch out of a narrow door. They dealt with an elevator as well as my especially chatty dad. Highly recommend them! Another thing I appreciated was that it was just the right amount of contact after I requested the estimate. Using Octopus Moving company was a great experience. They were professional, polite, calm, unruffled, smooth and completed job without fuss. I cannot say a single negative thing. Daniel and Aiden were my movers and I felt it was worth the expense. Nothing broken, nothing left behind. Although, this is day 2 in my new place and there are a few boxes left, before I can say for sure. However, this was my best move ever and hopefully my last. I looked up every potential company and their reviews and hands down, it was the best choice. It costed a bit more than i expected but it was largely due to the amount of boxes I had, and an elevator out in new building, which caused a greater distance to cover between the parking space and my unit. I've moved several times over the past few years, and Octopus Moving company is the best company I've worked with. Most of the moving industry is unreliable, unfair, and careless, but the team at Octopus is excellent! We just completed a difficult move into a new house. Octopus sent two professionals and they were great -- they showed up on time, worked very efficiently, transported all of my items carefully without causing any damage, and re-assembled my furniture very quickly. I've used Octopus Moving twice  and highly recommend them.  Very professional, courteous, efficient, expert packers and careful with my belongings.  Also they go the extra mile:  While loading the truck a mover noticed a door resting against the wall which needed to be re-installed and offered to re-install it.  Two of them did the job in less than five minutes with tools they brought from the truck.  When unloading the truck they were conscientious to ask where everything should go in the new space.  Competitively priced, I would choose this service again. The company misrepresented themselves on their rate and travel being part of the cost during our discussion and sent a contract for me to sign and pay a deposit with different terms than agreed upon. I reviewed the contract and noticed the discrepancy and contacted the company directly. When the contract was discussed and the misrepresentation of it, they took no ownership and told me good luck and it is good I did not pay my deposit then. I highly recommend octopus moving! I booked them on Tuesday 11/23 and they were able to help me move at the date and time requested- short notice too, I moved today 11/26! They showed up 15 mins early which was great, when are movers ever even on time?! Javier and Salvador were not only professional and quick but kind as well. It was a great price, no hidden fees just exactly what they told me per hour and then an hour charged for drive time. Totally reasonable! They were happy to include things I didn't think I would be moving but also moved huge items with easy and flexibility (a king bed through a regular non-service elevator?! impressive!) Salvador and Javier were very friendly and hard working and handled all my belongings with care. They even help take apart my treadmill that would not fit out the door! I had a great experience with them and highly recommend them. They made the unpleasant and stressful process of moving so much easier and nicer! These guys were awesome! I got a response right away, and they were very kind in answering all my questions. When they came to move my stuff, they were efficient, friendly, and careful with my things. We had them move a 2-bed apartment locally in Cambridge, which included lots of boxes and two mattresses. My 2 movers were excellent. I’ve moved many times in my military career and this was peobably the best experience! I had to add an extra stop to a storage unit and they complied with no issue. Daniil went the extra step and adjusted my treadmill to fit thru the bedroom door. Remember to tip your movers well! They have a very difficult job and they’ll really appreciate it. I've moved a lot in my life and this was BY far the easiest move. Â The booking and estimate was easy to get, mostly done via text and pictures of my place (and cabinets and closets). Â Day 1 they packed my whole pace and loaded to a truck. 3 people were polite, quick and super efficient. I was was working on and off the morning they were there. and they just moved around me. in and out in less than 4 hrs (one bedroom)Day 2, unload the truck and reassemble my table, couch and bed. Two people, again, quick, polite and efficient. Again, with only two i was worried it might take a while but again, in and out in less than 4 hours. All packing debris taken away.The final cost was not much higher then the lower end of the estimate. Â Still unpacking but my stuff was treated with the ultimate care, well packed, well wrapped before truck load. They made sure i was happy with furniture placement before leaving. Our team recently completed a local move for a family with a 2-bedroom apartment, located within the same city. Despite the short distance, we approached the job with the same level of care and attention to detail that we do for all our moves.
To begin the process, we scheduled a consultation with the family to discuss their needs and provide a comprehensive estimate of our services.
