I was at Vogue Recovery Center for approximately 8 months. My experience with Vogue was different from other treatment centers in that it is a small group of clients at any given time. I had my own therapist that i met with weekly. I felt that i had individualized treatment in a safe environment. The random drug testing kept me and the other clients accountable during my entire stay. I was required to get a sponsor and work the steps. What inspired you to start your own business?
Kathryn Johnson is a licensed psychotherapist that is passionate about her work. She has worked as a therapist at some of the major rehabs in Malibu helping guide clients through early recovery and working with their families when needed, Kathryn is known for ability to connect with clients and create a safe space for them to process trauma they have spent years avoiding. She has also worked as a clinical director of an adolescent inpatient psychiatric unit for 5 years and has been the Clinical Director at Oceanside Malibu for 14 years
Her background of working with clients, other therapists, and psychiatrists brings a wealth of knowledge to those in the early stages of recovery. Unlike other centers that focus exclusively on the 12 steps Kathryn recognizes the importance of making sure clients receive treatment for underlying issues and trauma that are key to maintaining sobriety and preventing relapse. She works with clients in helping them embrace the recovery process and make use of all the resources available to them

Equine Therapy
The isolation resulting from substance dependence is deeply damaging. 12
Step programs acknowledge the importance of connection in fellowship and
the Steps. Yet social connection remains difficult for many recovering people.
Adding a history of alcoholism in the original family and this task become more
challenging. Equine-Assisted Therapy is a uniquely helpful treatment
for these challenges.
Salt Water Therapy
Sea air & salt water are charged with healthy negative ions that builds our body’s capacity to absorb more oxygen. The use of modern technology exposes us to unhealthy free radicals which erodes our body’s natural energy, but when we are by the sea, we feel energized and relaxed at the same time.
We have the unique ability to have salt water therapy sessions on our private Malibu Beach Location.
