Have always loved this restaurant but it is under new ownership now. The menu was excellent as was each and every dish we shared. Enjoyed liver pate, beet salad, Italian wedding soup and grilled redfish. Yum! Service also excellent. Very attentive and friendly. This will continue to be a go to place with friends and family. My husband and I had dinner at Nuvolari's this past December 22, 2022. We always choose this restaurant for the ambiance and wonderful food, and we were so looking forward to our usual favorites. Our server informed us that the restaurant was under new management and the new menu reflected the change to "more Italian" dishes. No more will you find fried calamari, the fish of the day with green beans and wild rice, or (my all time favorite) crème brûlée; as these are no longer considered Italian dishes by the new management. I was heartbroken. I cannot say the meal we had was not good; it's just something that I would rather not order again. To the new management of Nuvolari's: please bring some of your customers' old favorites back! Before we left, we asked our server if other patrons had inquired about the menu change. Everything was delicious at Nuvolari's! I was visiting from out of town and we decided to try a bunch of different dishes and just share at the table. Truly everything we ate was so delicious! I thought the way the food was prepared was super creative and interesting too. For example, we ordered the meatballs appetizer and I was expecting just regular meatballs with a red gravy or something like that, but was pleasantly surprised that the meatballs were prepared in a savory sauce with I think collard greens- it was delicious! The bread was delicious, salad wedge was so good, and we had this smoked salmon bruschetta that was so interesting and tasty! The oyster appetizer was great too. We also had some pasta and it was great with a very slightly almost spicy flavor. The gelato is really really good. We had the egg nog flavor for the holidays. I really liked the ambiance and the location of the restaurant. It had been my first time in the area, and the next time I am in town for a visit to family, we plan to go back. The food was excellent- we tried many different appetizers and entrees the night I went to dinner, and every dish was fabulous. I keep trying to decide what was my favorite dish to recommend and it's hard to choose. I think probably the meatballs were my favorite simply because it was a bit different than I was expecting and I was blown away by the flavor. But it's a tough call because the other food was excellent- even something as simple as a salad wedge had great flavors and was so delicious! Oh my gawd! Every thing we ate was SOOOO good. Better than I imagined. Hot Bread and butter to start. Wine was delicious. Every appetizer was better than the next . Our entrees were to die for. I got the veal with the lasagna which amazing!! So tasty! Melted in my mouth. Service was great. You can definitely tell they cared about their dishes and took great craft in making all their plates. Very few places open on Monday so I decided to give it a try. It was surprisingly busy with only a fee tables in the bar. The bartender poured a nice sized drink which was almost too much . I had the grilled chop with butter squash. Service was great. Delicious! More...

I will try again and hope they work out some significant service issues. Food quality was good - I'd give 4 stars for that. Server was polite and engaging but dinner took three hours with many delays. Nearly 30 minutes to get drinks and to place an app order. Drink order was incorrect a couple of times, although the server admitted the issue and comped the mistakes when identified. It took a while to place our food orders. The appetizers were good once they arrived, including seared tuna and scallops. I'd have both again. Mains included the gulf fish and several of us tried the paneed veal and lasagna. Both were good. My only complaint was very Inconsistent portion sizes - my veal and lasagna was probably only 2/3 of the others so the kitchen needs to be more consistent. The spaghetti and meatballs was a good example of that basic dish, with a good sauce and what seems to be fresh pasta. I understand they are under new ownership. I like the food but hope they get the front of house sorted out to provide service commensurate with their prices. I'll give them another shot in a few weeks to see if things have improved. More...

We had an Exceptional dinner for four last night. It was the reveal of new ownership and new menu and we couldn't be more excited. The redfish Piccata was executed perfect topped with jumó lump crabmeat with a velvet cauliflower purée and the perfect bite of toasted cauliflower! Nuvolari's is a nice restaurant and the food is usually good. The past time I went the service was slow. I ordered the scallops, shrimp, and crabmeat. However, there were no scallops in my pasta.
