Dr. Skeens and her entire staff are nothing short of amazing! From the moment you walk through the doors to the end of your visit you are treated like family and given the best care quickly & efficiently. Dr. Skeens’ heart for helping others shines through and is reflected in the time she takes with each of her patients and her staff does the same. Dr. Heather Skeens is the most amazing doctor, so compassionate, thorough, and deeply cares for each of her patients. My mom is 86 and was completely blind (she was blind in one eye due to a fall and brain surgery, and the other eye a very severe cataract. ) She also has severe curvature of the spine. She was sent to a specialist in Ohio who refused to remove her cataract due to her not being able to raise her head all the way back. My mom's eye doctor would not refer her to anyone else basically stating there was nothing they could do for her. So I decided to search for an eye specialist on my own. I found Dr. Heather Skeens. She is so kind and so caring, and her staff is also amazing and so kind and caring. Dr. Skeens and her staff treat the patient like a member of their own family. She examined my mom and said we can do this, no problem and a week later she did the cataract removal. Dr. Skeens did not have any problems despite my mom's severe curvature. My mom's vision is returning, there is scarring on the retina from the brain surgery, but she is seeing light and starting to see some colors as well. Before Dr. Skeens removed the cataract, all my mom could see is darkness. Dr. Skeens is a confident, educated and highly skilled doctor who deeply cares for her patients. I will forever be grateful to her for helping my mother when the other eye doctors would not. She is an Angel with a gift of restoring even the most fragile of patients eye sight. More...

Dr. Skeens is a "rock star" when it comes to treating disorders of the eye! Especially my case of persistent dry-eye syndrome because she's more persistent in her treatment approach than my dry-eye is! She is a thorough, gifted, caring physician and every one of her patients that I have met, agrees with me!
