I ordered the Iskender Kabob for takeout. This was my first-time trying Iskender Kabob and I must say, "Wow!" It' s very delicious and fresh and you can tell they use the highest quality ingredients. UPDATE: Nuka Cafe contacted me short after and compensated me for the inconvenience, which is on GrubHub's part, where it takes a while for menus to update. The manti was delicious, and I am looking forward to going there in person! Thank you!previous review:I ordered their manti/Turkish ravioli on GrubHub and was very looking forward to it, and although it showed as available to order and the order went through, it wasn't until after 30 minutes of waiting that my order was cancelled by Nuka Cafe. I called them and was told they were out of stock - if my delivery guy did not text me, I wouldn't even know what was going on, since I made the call myself to learn it was out of stock. A quaint little Turkish cafe in the midst of some of the best Persian eateries in the city. We ordered their chicken doner plate, falafel plate, baklava and turkish coffee. All the dishes were very good. The doner chicken was very juicy and well-seasoned (slighly on the salty side if you'd ask me). There was a very good quantity in the plate, which came with rice and a salad. Perhaps some hummus on the side would have made it even better. The falafel were crispy and well made as well. The undisputed highlight was the incredible Baklava! Turkish coffee was good, but we couldn't really taste the cardamom (possibly because we drank it later). Pricing was very reasonable and competitive, especially given the quantity of food.All in all, a solid new cafe on the block to try out for sure. This is the new kid on the block, sitting where Westwood Cafe used to sit. I found out about this new cafe when I was in the area on business. It was, in fact, the height of the pandemic in LA when I first saw it, and I was curious to try it out.I had the pleasure of eating here the other day. I parked along Westwood Blvd on a weekday morning, which was a time when parking is easy to find here. I walked in to fine cafe, and was greeted warmly by the two workers here. I checked out their menu, and decided to go with the chicken kebab plate. This included rice, salad, and naan. The chicken was well prepared, with a nice mix of spices, and served in generous portions! The bed of rice underneath was soft and warm. The salad served as a perfect complement to the meal.While I waited for my food to be ready, I sipped on my latte and ate some pastries. The latte was well made. It was delicious, and packed a strong punch. The pastries were good, with the baklava taking the gold among the three I had that day.This place is a five star experience all around! The two time that I've been here, they have treated me like gold! The excellent customer service, and the delicious food, will keep me coming back here for lunch.Thanks for the great experience! It was my first time trying this restaurant and I was very hyped about it since it got 5 stars on Yelp. However, when I went inside to pick up my order it was already a frustration for me because none of the employees had a mask. If you don't like wearing masks, then close your restaurant until the pandemic is over and don't risk others life. Once I got home, I had to re-cook the meal to assure that the bacterias would die (if there was any). Iskhender was on point, presentation was nice and beef was cooked just perfect. However, dolmadas was pretty thick and dry, cannot say I enjoyed it.Turkish Rivoli's beef wasn't cooked fully so I couldn't even eat more than 2 bites. This little hidden gem is admist a sea of Perisan eateries on busy Westwood Blvd. It's Turkish complete with Turkish food and drink at very modest prices. You order at the counter and it is fast casual style. We had just finished dinner and they have excellent looking desserts but we were both stuffed. I needed a freeway food fix before for my drive back to Long Beach yesterday afternoon and Yelped this place as I was strolling up Westwood Bl. After explaining to the nice young lady behind the counter how I needed something rolled up or wrapped that I could eat behind the wheel, she suggested the Beef Kofte. I waited in the comfortable seating and pleasant atmosphere where I enjoyed a conversation about film with a local patron. My takeaway order arrived nicely packed so I could eat it in the car. Included was a nice supply of the most delicious pickles that I smacked my lips on while strolling back to my car on Selby. Then I impatiently began to peel back the layers of foil which were hugging my freeway fare. I'll dispense with the foreplay and get straight to the point. This was easily the most delicious Middle-Eastern sandwich I have eaten in the past 47 years since having tasted my first Giro at a Greek broiler in Chicagoland. By the time I wormed my way in 405 traffic down to Rosecrans it was time to wrap it up and save the last 1/4 for my honey. I moved it into a small Tupperware that I left on the top shelf of the fridge. I turned in early and heard the report about the Beef Kofte leftovers this morning. She agrees that this was a best we've ever had anywhere. Now we have another go-to in Westwood along with Saffron & Rose whenever we're in the area. Probably the best Turkish restaurant outside of Turkey. Very authentic Turkish food served with care in a great location. The attention to detail and the service is fantastic .
