Nucli has changed me in ways I never expected. I have never truly committed to any workout regimen until I started Nucli. The first few weeks going three times a week was PAINFUL to say the least ! But the weeks went by and I still kept going regularly and 19 months later I still love it! I love the way I feel, I love the strength I have at 45 years old, I love the connection with the gym community and the friends and relationships I have made! Most importantly it was first Alex that made me feel comfortable and helped me push myself to do things I didn’t think I could do in a way that kept me coming back and rarely ( never in the first year) missing a workout! His knowledge of the human body and everything that’s goes with being healthy is amazing. Throw Jenn in the mix and it’s a perfect balance! More...

When I started here I was nervous. I was tired of being out of shape and overweight but still intimidated by the amount of time and effort it would take to reverse the years of neglect. .. 6 weeks. That's all it took. Actually I'd say 4 because by then I had momentum. I'm down more than 20lbs of fat and have strength and stamina like I did 15 years ago. My commitment to show up was more than matched by Alex's commitment to make it pay off for me. If you want to finally change your health, get strong and fit, be part of a gym full of people just like you and have someone who will create daily workouts and train you step by step so you don't have to "figure it out" on your own... Nucli. More...

I joined Nucli fitness as a runner with the goal of becoming a stronger, better runner. In a few short weeks, I started to notice positive changes toward my goal of finishing a second half marathon with a better result. After approximately 5 weeks, I decided to join the 6 week challenge with the goal of dropping weight to continue to improve my running. The nutrition plan gave me specific portions to eat at specific times, while allowing me flexibility in what I chose to eat within the meal plan. Alex was great at answering questions regarding where things fit in the meal plan and how big portions should be. Over the course of the challenge, I was also testing out some foods that I suspected were giving me issues. Since I was making and tracking everything that I ate, it was easy to eliminate what I thought was making me sick and then test it in isolation. In the end, I learned which foods made me feel strong and which foods made me feel sick. I have not added those foods back to my diet now that the challenge is over and I continue to feel good. Alex asked for a minimum number 3 workouts per week over the six weeks. As a busy mom of two high school students and a middle school teacher, I used to make excuses about why I couldn’t workout. During this challenge, I had to make the time fit into my schedule. I discovered that fitting a 45 minute workout into my schedule 3 times a week was totally doable. Some weeks it was easy to schedule and some weeks I had to get a little creative. My family was supportive throughout the process and helped me find the times to work out. The late evening and weekend morning class times were my go to times. Did I lose weight and body fat? Yes...18 pounds and just over 3 percent body fat. Those 18 pounds and 3 percent translated to 4.5 inches of belly fat lost. In addition, my health improved in a wide range of ways. Eliminating carbs and sugar and increasing water intake helped my skin to become clearer. Regular exercise and good food gave me more energy to be the busy mom-teacher that I am. My resting heart rate improved from high 70’s-low 80’s to mid 60’s. On my first run following the challenge, my cardiovascular fitness had improved to the point that I was running a full 30 seconds per mile faster than I had in the fall. At a recent doctor visit, my measured blood pressure was below the level considered pre-hypertension for the first time in 5 years. Were the workouts hard? Of course they were. Did I have to “give up” foods for the challenge? Of course I did. Change like this isn’t easy. It takes a lot of hard work, determination and discipline. I often left class sweaty, tired and sore. I also slept better and started recovering faster as I made it to more and more classes. In my mind, the positive changes that happened because I chose to go on this journey with Alex were well worth the sacrifice and challenge of 6 weeks. More...

A casual word of mouth sent me to Nucli Fitness in September 2017. I bought the introductory pack and never looked back. Nucli makes sure that the workout is challenging and varied and fun. Though classes are small group trainings, I always feel like I have 100% personal attention. If you would have told me a year ago that I would be doing 55lb kettleball exercises, I would have laughed. Nucli is the real deal. More...

High level functioning requires a refined tool, free of the imperfections caused by inattention and self sabotage. We do not demand perfection, only responsibility.
