Nora's Grill & Bistro

The food is excellent, but there are significant kinks with the online ordering and delivery. I placed an online order yesterday and scheduled it to be delivered at 5PM today. I obviously had to submit my address and I assume I was charged for delivery based on the distance ($35). At 4:30 I got a text saying my order was ready and would be delivered soon. We’re 25 minutes from the restaurant. Perfect. At 5:10 I called for a status update and was told the food had already left and would be there any minute. At 5:25 I called and was told absolutely within five minutes it would be here, the driver didn’t realize how far we were and left late. I asked if the food had been sitting in someone’s car since my 4:30 confirmation text and was assured that this was not the case. At 5:45 I finally asked for a manager. I was told definitely five minutes or less, the driver left a little late and I would receive a discount. At 5:50 the food arrived, predictably room temperature, and not according to the contactless delivery option selected on the website. I called back to let them know we were missing hummus. It was free, but still disappointing as my toddlers love it and I would have specifically ordered it for them whether it was free or not. So it wasn’t the price so much as the significant delay for a room temperature and incomplete order that was frustrating. I realized after I hung up we were also missing the baba ghanoush and spinach dip and just didn’t see the point in calling yet again. If you’re dining in or picking up, everything is excellent. We picked up from Nora’s Kabob on Friday. We asked for extra veggies and an extra pita bread order to go with the chicken and beef kabobs, however there were no veggies (not even the normal ones that are usually included) and the extra pita was missing. I called and spoke directly to the manager who was very apologetic and said they were busy. He offered a $5 gift card. Our $20 combo #3 was still missing the veggies and pita, but it was edible. There was no attempt to correct this. (Side note: There were also 6 other people in front of us who checked their order and something was also missing.....) we love Nora’s, but the service is inconsistent. I ordered from DoorDash and order was incorrect. So Adam, who wouldn’t even so much as get me a manager I asked, tried to blame DoorDash (convenient) even though it was the kitchens fault and expected me to drive to pick up new food. The WHOLE point of ordering was so I didn’t have to leave during this time as someone who has a compromised immune system and I am not well at the moment. Get More...
